Also, for some usage, you will need a SSD when for some other, a HDD is fine. There it's the same, nowadays MicroSD card can go up to 95 Mo/s in writing speed which is perfecly fine to store image and video for example.
Also, it brings convenience to use and if/when the device fail, you always have a physical backup (I know, there is cloud and so on, but let people choose !)

So add another 50$ to that.
Samsung did a great job of launching the Galaxy S20 FE 5g at cheaper price.

Here's hoping Android OEMs copy Apple's 5.4 inch screen and Apple's regular OS and security updates. I know that's never going to happen. They'd only copy the pointless features -- notches, sealed batteries, no expansion slot. Why copy the good stuff.

Mocking them is very disingenuous. And what's rather unique to Apple is the use of NVMe NAND storage opposed to most others still using eMMC or UFS something, latest UFS versions being comparable to NVMe). And that usually shows the most with time, much more than speed of chipset itself.
