Lenovo has more experience in producing laptops than Huawei or whatever Chinese brands you name. Samsung tried before and while they dominate smartphone markets, their laptop adventure wasn't successful. All phones are made in China, still iphones have better build quality than some craps. Time for you to come out of the other dimension you living in.

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2020Why did you make this review now? Don't make me buy it. :D My budget actually was 600€... morebut you dont buy a laptop unlike phones every other years in general. why not invest a little more in some established brands and stay safe for 4-5 years. my ThinkPad is running strong after 4.5 years and I think it will do for at least 2 more years. notebookbilliger has some pretty good deals for students.
Anonymous, 05 Oct 2020Just ignore him, he's one of those numbers only people who wants an i9-10900K and an RTX ... moreha ha.. I think this group has the most members. :D
I'm an owner of the D 14 from a couple of years ago with Ryzen 5 2500U
It's a great laptop with a touch screen. I was waiting for a few years already for Huawei to release another touchscreen laptop. I like the 2K(!) display available here and other impressive specs. The only thing that I don't like and is the reason why I won't be buying this laptop is the lack of pen support. What's the point of a touch screen if you can't use a pen with it? I would pay extra for a pen but currently no pen supports it. Huawei only allows pen support for their tablets.
SHAME.
Yet another company crippling the Ryzen cpu's by pairing them with low speed ram.
Great to see it Ryzen. Though 16:10 /16:9 is ideal, was it tablet you could enjoy movies, reading or multitasking. It just matters how you use it, horizontally or vertically.
A great 2020 product, I most say beats Intel 8th gen laptops for sure!
omiddg55, 05 Oct 2020Shiny windows laptop which can beat apple macbook proMany windows laptops can do that. Don't forget about HP Dell Asus Acer and Lenovo.
So there are no restrictions vis-a-vis Microsoft, unlike Google? I thought they would have to go the Linux route.

Actually no, he wants it for free.
I definitely love the integrated webcam on the keyboard. Because of that, the laptop screen looks great with that tiny bezel.

My budget actually was 600€, but the 4500U version of the D14 is not out in Germany... don't know when it will be either (uni is starting soon)!
Should I just get the Matebook 14 for 800€? I don't know. 200€ is a lot of money.
Sad
You forgot the Lenovo C940, which, considering import duties, might end up at the same price as this laptop with a somewhat similar performance. It has much better sound, a pen, the camera is located up and the screen can be rotated 180 degrees.
No mention of thunderbolt support.
digitaldevil, 05 Oct 2020this stupid price lol byeThat's an exceptional price for a TOTL chipset and a 14" touchscreen. You can't do better than that.
What? Looks like renamed Dell Inspiron 7572, just the camera is different but at the same odd bottom of the screen
