I don't get the design choices they go for with phones. I will say that the new screen with the punch hole is a nice change. However, pixel phones designs are really... Ugly, no offense.
Still, the bigger battery is cool. Will probably last pretty well with the smaller screen.

It hits so home and stands out in oversized fragi... moreAgree, this is something better than a lot of phones out there, as it brings back the metal body which had been long extinct, but that isn't enough to sell it, and it skips on a lot of other features, for example, the fingerprint could've been under the display, that's the first flaw, and the SoC of course, should've been 865 at least, if not the plus version, considering this isn't exactly a phone jam packed with features like the Xperia 5 II or even the S20 FE, which come at similar price as the Pixel, so the chipset could've justified the tag, a bit. There's also no 120 hz RR that's becoming common even on significantly cheaper phones. IMO, Google just expects people to buy it for the camera but really it's not worth $700. The Pixel 4 from last year was much better as in it was a well rounded flagship device which looked and performed like one but this just looks like an over priced mid range phone. Still a good phone though, but at 200 bucks lesser maybe

This is most compelling pixel device so far. It hits so home and stands out in oversized fragile glass phones, with its compact metal body , OLED and good battery.
Yet, Google still screwed up.
Either price must see correction or Google must make up with something else as SoC of choice isn't particularly attracting unlike other aspects of phone.
I really don't know.
I'm longtime tech enthusiast and I've watched every pixel phone and they have been nothing but disappointments.
I really can't understand why on earth google can make right pixel phone.
Are they cursed for the Motorola deal ?

These prices are dumb. Who will buy Android mid-range instead of iPhone 12 that will have THE SAME PRICE. Google is dumb af. No one in europe, north america and asia will do that. They need to sell their phones in South America, but they're dumb af. I live in Brazil and they would have ZERO competition if priced were they belong

Now the Pixel 5 changes that and will use different shutter speed/ gain per frame.

Exposure ismdifferent because shutter speed is different.
It is like if they merge photos that use for example 1/2500 + 1/2000 + 1/1500 + 1/1000

I want to see pictures taken with wide and ultrawide, that's all I care for and the only thing that I often find interesting on Pixels ;)
Would they be impressive -> Pixel 5, would they be the same as Pixel 4 -> Xperia 5 II.
