The entire HDR branding requires a *minimum* of 400 nits. That's bottom of the barrel luminance range for the HDR branding only, Devices with this max lum count will under most circumstances behave just like a standard screen.
For some company to use a HDR branding (or HDR10 in this case) for devices that do not meet even the minimum specifications is simply just fraud.
For marketing spiel purposes they could have come up with some pseudo-HDR terminology, and though shady in nature it may be...it would still be legal.
But only in India can you get away with outright fraud and consumer law violations like this, which is exactly why these 2 sham-HDR TVs will sold in this region to dupe uninformed consumers and nowhere else.

It's not VESA HDR certified, which will cause issues with playback. Minimum HDR certification requires 400 nits for the absolute minimum entry level. While VESA DisplayHDR is focused on monitors, it's also a fair benchmark for TVs. Your HDR experience with a display that's not bright enough will be disappointing

So nothing Chinese, except perhaps some investors.

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2020Never thought Nokia would sell TVs, lol.Bought my first Nokia TV in 2000, that was a genuine Nokia product though, with glass tube of course! You could find them in hotels in the 1990's and 2000's as they typically formed part of a local network, which of course was Nokia's core business.
Hence my TV also had a network cable connection on the back.
Unfortunately died when movers dropped it and tube cracked.

Whats up with the 32 inch hd+ screens everyone is still making them ? I have something over 5 years old LG 32 inch 1080p screen in my bedroom and i tough all will dich the 720p screens already, but no for some reason they still do them. I just cant understand for what reason they make them hd+ only and still are doing them. When hd+ screens dont make sense on the phone then on 32 inch screen it's even worst pixel party

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2020Never thought Nokia would sell TVs, lol.They've launched tvs exactly last year.. and they got huge success too. Nd after Nokia, Motorola launched 4 tvs.
