Samsung sells the FE in USA at a lower price($499) and with a much better/costlier chipset(SD 865) for the 8 Gig variant for those skeptical about its in-house chip..My only concern is Samsung is treating the Indian Market lower in its priority and limiting quality options.(Pretty much like what Sony did and is doing)

L.O.R.D, 08 Oct 2020Yes that's right, and the S20 FE isn't a bad phone at all, and also brand name and v... moreIf you just keep the Exynos 990 on spec sheet to the side, you'll observe, it has everything a 2020 flasghip can ask for.

You can't expect this phone for 500$ like the Poco F2 pro.
Plenty of phones at 600$-700$ price point with flagship SD865 chip either lack 120hz AMOLED display or flagship camera or IP68. Galaxy s20 FE has it all.

Samsung IMO has done a great job. Their sales in flagship segment were getting eaten by other phones like OnePlus 8 pro. This is a great alternative for people who don't want to spend 75k and above for Galaxy Flasghip.

Manoj , 07 Oct 2020Not worth buying with these specs and this price tag. So u were going to buy this phone if it was sd version.. Yo, the chipset is ok.. U guys all are watching some dumb utube videks and commenting that exynos is garbage tf.. Before saying that this chip is garbage which chipset phoen y'all using.. Probably some midrange shit chip. Also don't judge a book by its cover. Y'all need to use this phone in real world and see whether it makes any difference.

Fe is a good phone with perfect all round cameras. Especially with the optical zoom where s20 and s20+ lacks. Though the exynos chip is not as good as the sd chip but in day to day task and usage it is good. In real world usage there will be no difference.. The difference is the battery performance. Exynos is poorly optimised in battery department. For 50k its a good phone and better than oneplus. So folks who are commenting that exynos is trash and all, they are not going to buy this phone. So people who going to buy don't bother about what chipset it has got. Its a powerful chipset.

I waited 6 months for this phone. Don't want to buy any Chinese mobile.
Now i guess, even pixel 4a is better phone

I'd buy the FE myself but only if it was at a lower price, the current $700 isn't appropriate for an Exynos chip and since the camera isn't my priority, I'd go for the Asus but the Samsung fares pretty well in some other areas. Okay I'll accept it's all just for the cool looking LED on the back of the ROG 3 that got me really

No need to bash Samsung for the exynos version. It is already a full 100 bucks cheaper than snapdragon variant. If SD variant came to this market, price would be at around 61-64K. Never compare US price to the rest of the world yes because the tax is lower there.

Then about 5G, it will not widely available in the next 3-4 years, when you tech enthusiast most likely already have a new phone. Practically, it is pointless to ask 5G phones right now.

Besides, the Exynos isn't that bad to put off most buyers as far as basic real world day to day performance is concerned. You'll see discrepancies in performance only when you push the SOC to its limits. Only Enthusiasts will care about difference between Exynos 990 and Snapdragon 865.

There are tons of people who'll buy a trusted brand like Samsung over Chinese flasghips. These people don't care about the difference between SD865 and Exynos 990.

Those companies have fast growing market share all because of Exynos. People have started to avoid it. There are so many great choices in India, I can't see this FE doing well with that SoC.
