How can this be considered 'own gaming smartphone' if it is made by Asus? Will have the Qualcomm name printed on it? And how this is going to be different from current top chipset? I am pretty sure the difference will be on paper and benchmarks, not so big in real life but people still get crazy about it.

AnonD-909757, 07 Oct 2020If they don't put the 3D Sonic Max, a DECENT camera setup (not over the top, just no crap... moreI don't understand why people still whining about how bad camera in gaming phones. As i write this using rog 2, it surprisingly has good camera (tbh is better than some upper midrange phones) more than i expected on gaming phone. And you can even install gcam to capture a even better picture. This absolutely plenty for most (i can say 99%) people who buy gaming phones for well, gaming purpose as their first preference.
If you want 'gaming+good camera' just go buy a cheap flagship phone. For example, s20, oneplus 8, mi10, k30 pro, realme x50 and i can list forever as more phone will be released soon like mi 10t pro and s20 FE. They have good camera and same snapdragon 865 chipset (minus the '+' which only makes a slight better performance only on benchmark).
So what's the excuse? Price? Some of the phones i list above is a lot cheaper than gaming phones. The only difference between cheap flagship and gaming phones is the gaming software and air triggers which i sure you don't care about because you only want gOoD cAMeRa but looking at phones which be built for gaming purpose.
That's the beauty of android world. You have a lot of choices and you can freely choose a phones that suits your preferences. All of that but i still don't know why you still blame the phones and the companies for your big as big as One World Trade Center ego.
Please remember that phone companies do not make all phones just for you. And please remember that the world do not revolves around you.

I'm pretty sure this will be great, but I'd like to see a gaming phone within the price range of the pixel 4a & please don't tell me the redmi k30, I want them shoulder buttons.
Arte8800 , 08 Oct 2020Snapdragon is crap rubbish. Exynos is using Mali G72, MP11 Gpu, Exynos and Mali still has MP2... moreYou do realise that they use only MP11 because of the thermal limitations? And even if they used MP20, per core clock would go down substantially, so the performance gain won't be anywhere near as what you expect it will be. Snapdragon's Adreno has always been superior to Mali when it comes to gaming. With Samsung adopting Raedon graphics for its next chip it's basically the final nail in the coffin for Mali GPUs.

Will be grossly overpriced
I hope it has a headphone jack with the best available Sabre DAC, two USB-C ports like ASUS RoG Phone, GSMArena rated Excellent quality slit sized stereo speakers (with DTS:X, Dolby Atmos or any features) while being bezelless (top and bottom should be in equal size or my OCD will kick hard). Also for the 1% out there who uses Wireless headphones, all the codecs like LDAC, AptX, latest Bluetooth 5.2 and make sure that the latency is at an acceptable 40ms or even lower.

Mp11 is the highest on any Android , while Snapdragon uses 1 more core extra ,
I predict :
- Name : Dragon Phone
- 6,6" 20:9 1080p 144Hz LCD
- SD875 + 16GB ram
- 256/512 GB storage + sd slot
- Dual front speakers
- Plastic back + gorilla 6 on screen
- graphite + vapor chamber cooling
- 64MP wide + 16MP ultra wide + 2MP depth
- 5500 mAh + 100W charging
I see Asus as equal to the old top end range from HTC, the top zens have been solid phones.when all this extra graphics grunt and chip power + new memory types can be paired with a decent tech and spec expandable display, flexi, fold etc at a semi reasonable price, Microsoft and Sony are going to take a big hit, even if they improved and miniaturised everything, why have a seperate console at home, it will just be pc's and and 6 inch sized "phones", we still need a universal compute set up based round the old personal palm pc idea, runs anything you throw at it, any os's, any software, built in display, easy plug up to "full size/spec" desktop bits and pieces, iot, no coughs, chugs, slow downs, lock ups etc, yes I know their have been various devices in the past, HTC HD2 was a good very underpowered go at it, and loads better since that fun beast, but none have become popular, let alone semi universal with billions sold and used everywhere, for everything, why just use all that capability for gaming, or any single use, we want a magic easy to hand carry/hold, fit pockets, and simply do everything that we want/need,securely. One day perhaps...
