iPhones can use passcodes. You are dismissed though.

And midrange phones are now using under display fingerprint at least the ones that costs 300$. Only entry level don't use them because capacitive is cheaper

At least Android users have the choice of fingerprint or face unlock. iPhones only have face unlock.
[deleted post]LMFAO...and again you're out in the public 24/7 right?
This obviously warrants the huge noise you're making right now about the "inconvenience" of FaceID.
So, using banking apps in public during winter while wearing gloves...hmmm you can use face unlock huh? OHHHH that's right...you can't.
So iPhone users using a 4 or 6 digit code to unlock when FaceID isn't available is obviously slower than the unsecured face unlock of Android. However, one can argue however that it is more secured.
[deleted post]LMFAO...yasss just like how the new Pixel is now back to using capacitive fingerprint at the back right?
Or how the Xperia still hasn’t done it?
Or how MAJORITY OF ENTRY TO MIDRANGE ANDROID phones do not have UD FPS?
Yes, this is actually where majority of android users play. Not the flagships. Sorry to burst your bubble.

sounds about right, next 2 years under display technology will mature enough to implement Face ID beneath the glass without needing a notch.
Anonymous, 08 Oct 2020No they definitely won't. Wanna bet?

Haha, that was a good one.
They should ditch Face ID and bring back Touch ID everyone loved Touch ID
People who says Face ID is reliable and faster should compare it to iPhone 8's Touch ID

Do you honestly think the inconvinience of entering a 4 or 6 digit code when FaceID doesn't work is a huge reason to complain?

Yeah, it's so convenient to put down your mask or enter 6-digit pin every time you want to do something in public.
Well, it does serve ONE OF the same purposes such as face unlock. And all of this bragging about secure Face ID and unsecure front camera unlock, but let's be honest: have you or anybody else been hacked by fooling the selfie cam? I highly doubt it. Even if your phone would be stolen, it will take a lot of time for a robber to trick even the punch-hole system.
In 2022 they will have another excuse as to why they can't remove the notch.
At this point Android have been notchless and without any punch holes for 2 years. Apple continues to live in a cave in the 1990's.
Hopefully some day they will begin to innovate again instead of merely playing catch-up to 5+ year old tech.
These people haven't even brought multitasking to the Pro Max models yet... It's beyond stupid.

Those can't fit the technology which is inside the notch.
