Nick, 12 Oct 2020Specs !! Seriously..? how does it even matter when ultimately what matters is User experience.... moreThank you. This is so true.
The only "thing" Google seemed to have got iis how NOT to price Phones at a sensible level, they see the prices fools are willing to pay for crapple kit and services and think they should be able to over price too, but look what that idea has done to htc, lovely kit, but 30%+ over priced, now almost bankrupt and forgotten.

JDK, 11 Oct 2020Hey, I really like your price comparison dude!
Just to point out you forgot to include iPhone... moreThanks!
Yeah, I omitted the iPhone X on purpose so we can compare like-for-like, in that, the large Pixel battles against the large iPhone. The X is the Medium sized, and wouldn't be fair to compare that to the regular Pixel. Besides, the original iPhone X was constantly Low Stock and a poor value if I'm being honest.
This comparison shows what I deem as the best Android device (flagship) for that period, and it's cost. So it's a decent scale to see where Google lies in terms of features/price/overall contrast to it's peers. I wanted to instead choose the "best value" Android device, but that made the task exponentially more difficult. So had to emit a couple good options from LG, OnePlus, and ASUS (sorry, Sony devices were always too expensive) over the periods.
Pixels still on margins in Serbia. Even though you can now find Pixel 4 and 3 and not so easy. I would buy Pixel 5 but still not available in my country, Serbia. Please, force them to network prividers in Serbia.
Mario, 12 Oct 2020A bad decision to not include the latest Snapdragon 800 series in the pixel 5. But apart from ... morePerhaps Google should’ve tried this 2 years ago when there was no mid range phone competition and do this before they launched the 3a.
The problem with Google is simply the price...for the same price and better components ( better chip, expandable memory, bigger battery) Samsung is able to sell their phone for 700$ while Google cutting in chip and no expandable memory wants to sell a phone that shouldn’t cost no more than 600$ (even 550$) for 700$ The Pixel 4a 5G has the same problem and that’s why the Pixel 4a feels like the right phone to buy.
Idk if I agree with this poll. I own a mate 20, galaxy s10 & a pixel 3a. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. The mate gets zero support in the states, Samsungs bloatware, bixby & in display sensor suck and my 3a desperately needs more storage and ram! I still rock that 3a more than the others! I can remember paying like 700 bucks for a lg g3 years ago! We're all getting way too thrifty nowadays. The 4a & 5 seem like a tasty treat at the right price to me...
A bad decision to not include the latest Snapdragon 800 series in the pixel 5. But apart from this the build of the device is pure aluminium compared to the cheap glass that are made most of the phones out there which break instantly when dropped. Google lost the ball? I believe this is actually the first year when Google didn't loose the ball with devices with gorgeous display design and non glass build durability.
Non availability of 5 & 4a5g in India is a big disappointment! Google is doing what Xiaomi did 2-3years back. That is not bringing their top tier Phones in India. This is the reason why OnePlus succeeded in flagship killer segment but Xiaomi failed miserably. Till date they are trying hard.
Pixel just lost its way. PREMIUM SPECS wtih Premium PRICE and MIDRANGE Specs with MIDRANGE PRICE! How hard its for google to learn this!
I was using Nexus then Pixel but I moved to iPhone 11 Pro Max. It just so good in everything I just miss the freedom of Pixel Android
Nick, 12 Oct 2020Specs !! Seriously..? how does it even matter when ultimately what matters is User experience.... moreThe days when Pixel fanboys are parroting the Apple fanboys to defend their overpriced junk. Hilarious.
NineTailedFox, 12 Oct 2020It's quite hard for Google to compete Apple coz they entered too late in the smartphone m... moreGoogle have been designing phones since the Nexus One, so they do have experience.
What they don’t have is product vision. Thus every Pixel is copying whatever Apple did in previous year. (No headphone jack, notch, FaceID, and now the square camera bump).
Please someone drop a pixel5 in Chennai, India.
Not only has the Pixel 5 not been available for widespread purchase yet, but there is absolutely no price comparison for the justification of these claims. Moreover the choices on this poll do not give anywhere near enough information to postulate any of the claims made on this thread.
Love the hell outta my Pixel 4a
Nick, 12 Oct 2020Specs !! Seriously..? how does it even matter when ultimately what matters is User experience.... moreYou mean , "You" can't take a decent pic
Ed, 12 Oct 2020There is a lot of things more to consider when you bought a pixel phone than the processor. I ... moreHad a Pixel 2 and Nexus before that. The 2 was a really decent phone with outstanding battery life.
Have now got the Pixel 4. Excellent quality phone only lacking in battery duration. Hopefully Google will be improving this will future updates.
Meanwhile Sorta Sage pre-order in Australia is sold out. I think this is going to bring a lot of older pixel fans to owning the current premium device as well as attract new buyers. Google have made a very smart business decision that is going to pay off.
Specs !! Seriously..? how does it even matter when ultimately what matters is User experience....
I have Samsung S20 Ultra. Trust me, the mammoth expensive phone doesnt even take a decent pic !! Its massive issue of auto-focus is hardly being discussed by "professional" reviewers.....
Having used Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 (great ohone, but with bad battery), I would say The Pixel phones are the "iPhone of Android world"... note, Pixel 5 seems to have 4000mah battery, meaning the only issue that Pixel 3 & 4 struggled - battery seems to have been addressed, and price - far cheaper than most heavily loaded (specs) phones that struggle to do perform, largely due to their bloatwares & poor customisation!!
