AnonD-3203, 27 Jul 2012Apple is getting frustrated...they miss the sale target of this quarter (courtesy samsung only... moreI dont see such attitude in anyone who dont follow any tech sites , they just buy whatever is nice and offers great customer service , if they get disappointed , they simply switch.
Once look at lumia 900 reviews , majority were android switchers who praised windows because for normal user , there is no need of quad cores or dual cores unless they come cheap in future.I have seen many switching back to iPhones and buying iPads , but never seen so many who switch or move away from iphone much.Same here also, i thought about switching to android when nexus comes to my country but it didnt come , so i finally gave up that thought because companies like samsung , htc etc make products like beta testing products , customer service often very bad , and they never provide updates , i dont have any patience or time to do all that stuff and customize phone , i just want something that gets updates fast and simple but not bloated phones , If nexus comes this year , i wouldnt switch because i already have iPad which has all apps which also work in other devices i have.Apart from nexus , remaining products are like testing products with fancy skins like touchwiz , motoblur etc etc.
"they miss the sale target of this quarter"
>>check back profits and come back. They missed sales expectations made by analysts but their own target was reached by them.Profit was high , so thats not really big deal since , samsung with all those products combines have less profit than apple which have very few limited number of products.

If Samsung's phone released Feb 2007 then their FCC must be filed earlier. So, compare iphone's FCC in October 2006 and samsung's release date in February 2007 is foolish. Make more sense if apple copied samsung's design.
Apple is getting frustrated...they miss the sale target of this quarter (courtesy samsung only)they never thought galaxy series gonna be a big hit..i have just two things to say.(1)IMHO All smartphones are 4inch gadgets and there are thousands of models and u cant play with too much design options and there can ALWAYS be some similarity in the design...its not a car or airplane. (2)Apple will always be apple and Samsung will be samsung so if somebody has to buy apple he will but that irrespective of DESIGN and a SAMSUNG lover will hate to buy apple phones, i hope apple should understand this sooner than later
Are those people who said, they bought sammy bcoz they thought its apple, so dumb that they can't even read SAMSUNG written on front of every device?
No doubt these, dumb people like Apple :)
I don't think any company likes to work hard and them have someone come later and profit by copying them. Shame on Samsung. HTC, Motorola, and Sony are much more respectable and ethical.
Stop the debate guys..
I think, anyone shelling out that much money on buying a phone or a tablet won't be that ignorant about what he's buying or what he's paying for.
Besides, these court battles have hardly affected Samsung's sales in the past two years.
So just give it a rest people and stop fighting like you're Apple or Samsung employees!! Just enjoy your Apples/Droids!!! =))
LOL remember the "Bell Curve" in school that showed that in a given group there are dumb people equally as there are smart ones. Therefore those making the purchases fall on the left half of the curve. Gives me chills realizing their votes (in deciding things) count the same as the ones on the right half. It's the left side of the bell curve folks that apple loves, because their marketing campaigns work exceptionally well on them.

Samsung have got Apple by the short and curlies and not the other way round.

AnonD-62170, 27 Jul 2012hahaha! shame on you samsung! you have pushed your luck for too long. now, even your partner, ... morenothing of the above is 100% sure. if it was on gsmarena's page doesn't mean it's official. even if it was I don't give a damn. al what i need is a good looking phone with amazing features and os and that is exactly what samsung is doing. we're not playin "plain folks" here. if we go back in time to 2007 we can say that apple copied samsung: the 1st samsung touch screen mobile was announced in Feb and it had a plain touch screen with one physical button under it. The 1st i phone was announced in June and had quite the same concept.
I do respect apple for what it does even though some of the i phone parts are made by samsung, but they really should move on and innovate instead of suing and wasting time and money.
AnonD-40452, 27 Jul 2012Sigh Apple...why do you keep suing Samsung? Remeber you're Samsung's main client when it comes... moreSamsung is not doing it as free or as charity :)
Remember that they get lot of profits from apple......
Also , even before launching the iPhone To consumers , steve jobs on announcement of iPhone in january 2007 said they got lot of patents on it and protect iphone at any cost , thats the most important thing he said , samsung should have been careful right from start ..........
Most of their crucial patents were granted , after 2009 i.e after submission of them before 2-3 years , around 2006-2007.So then , nokia sue apple at that time around , andnonce they got patents , they started sueing all.

I believe it's Samsung that need Apple - not the other way round.
How is that possible you buy a product blindly. Even the bill we get after buying a product contains the name.. Those are rumours.. Go samy go..cut the apple in pieces
I think the galaxy S looked a lot like the Iphone, but hey that was Samsung first attempt at making a flagship and they didn't know if it was gonna be successful. And the S2 and S3 look nothing like the Iphone coz the Galaxy S series is successful and now its worth spending money on making there own design and look distenctive
I have been a techy for a while now and whenever i talk to my friends about, well, this they barely have any idea on what I'm talking about.
one of my friends actually asked and told me if the iphone i was using was branded "Nokia"
huh!? an iphone from nokia? seriously?
i have nothing against nokia but my point is, many people have barely any time taking some time to gain info about all of these techy stuffs. so, it's no surprise that many (and I admit, their stupid) don't even know what their buying especially if it's their first time.
some didn't even know that the iphone 4 and 4s are two different phones.
majority is, when they see a touch screen phone w/a home button on the bottom, they'll immediately think it's an iphone.
shame on samsung!
hahaha! shame on you samsung! you have pushed your luck for too long. now, even your partner, google, is aware of your wrong doings. you probably should have listened to them."
"Another interesting things is that Samsung's own Product Design Group also noted in 2011 that it is “regrettable” that the Galaxy S “looks similar” to the older iPhone models."
Also interesting is the fact that famous designers as part of a Samsung sponsored evaluation said that the Galaxy S “looked like it copied the iPhone too much” and that “innovation is needed.” They felt that the design resembles the iPhone's design too closely so that the buyer would confuse between the two and that all you have to do is cover up the logo and there won't be any difference between them."
"Earlier documents also reveal that Samsung specifically requested to have features like the iOS' bounce effect while scrolling be implemented in their browser."
it's not just "seven out of the thirty Best Buy stores that Samsung surveyed, the main reason for returning Samsung's tablets was that people bought them thinking they were iPads" article. read the whole article!
you fanboys are just making excuses. getting only a piece of the whole.
