though $649 is already too much for a mini phone where 5g is not that much matter in the current days...They could have easily get away with 5g for the mini iPhone and lower further to $599.

Small screen = fail
Why? Painfull thumb when using one hand and always scrolling, and always have to zoom in for comfortable reading....
And no charger? Yeah wright. Let the customers decide,not yourself!!!

The 1/2.55" has about 24mm2.
It is expected 12 pro max to do better than 11 pro max, by huge marging.
Looks like 12 Pro remains 1/2.55".
I must think f1.6 is too much.
Close up shots will have lots of the frame with blur, just the very center in focus.
I personnaly dislike.
I also suppose Apple may keep the other two cameras with 12Mp 1/3.4"

iPhone 12 mini. 5.4" screen, but the phone should be more compact than the iPhone 7/8. Great stuff! I wonder if the iPhone 12 models will be the first devices with edge to edge screen AND straight sides, not rounded. Could look better.

To those asking android OEMs to make small phones, iphone 12 mini will be success because it is the least expensive of the four and not size.
If Apple made a 7,2" iphone for $700, it would outsold the smaller models.
