Something they used to say to be limit what human eye could see difference. And according to them, more than 300ppi was waste of time.
They cannot put 450 ppi for a smaller 5,4" with 5G.
Phone is tipped to have less than 2300mAh.
No way it would last until 2 p.m ....
JDK, 09 Oct 2020Yeah I agree.
No need to have a 108MP sensor when a 12MP sensor is just as large.1/1.76" = 44mm2
1/1.33" = 72mm2

Wait a second. I thought that the iPhone 12 pro series is gonna have 3x optical zoom?
If these leaks are true, that means that the 12 pro max will have zoom equal to the huawei p40 pro.

But they all lost their path in favour of the bigger is better mentality. But, in this case, bigger is not better. I'd gladly pick up any device which measures about 130x65mm with 5-5,5 inch display and reasonable specs and also would not mind twice the thickness
of todays phones for a proper battery. And, I guess, I'm not the only one.
I have an iPhone XS since a bit more than 2 years now and I was excited about the 12 pro. But if it lacks 90hz or 120hz and the notch is still the same size, I might wait one more year to buy a new one 🤷♂️
The 65mm camera is likely Apple's answer to the 80mm equivalent 8 megapixel cameras. They are wrongly advertised as a "3x optical zoom" setting, but real optical zoom doesn't reduce the megapixel count. Theoretically 12 megapixel 65mm gives you exactly the same amount of details from objects as 80mm 8 megapixel.

You can only take advantage of it if the ... moreyeah, HDR is a bit of a broken standard right now between DolbyVision, HDR10+, HDR400/600 and apple isn't helping with XDR (their overpriced XDR monitor still falling short of a reference grade monitor).
as long as the 12 mini shows good HDR content and isn't subject to horrible PWM (like under 120Hz PWM) then I have few complaints.

You can only take advantage of it if the video is recorded using HDR10+, which only few cellphones can do.
This means, everything from proper camera will be displayed as HDR10 only.
