They provide a rather accurate test of speed and power in a phone, and can show you how a serious gaming session might hold up, for example.

One thing that I like about Mediatek is that they provide power with their affordable price points. Definitely the reigning brand in the midrange !

This is why these haters flood comments section bashing Chinese brands.
If Samsung or others top benchmark, they don't think it's cheating. They'll even go on to say they deserve no.1 spot but when Chinese companies top the charts, they can't handle it and are quick to accuse them of cheating.

All hail the Chinese optimization and cooling tech.

We aren't measuring cpu speed here, Antutu represents all round performance including Ui, storage speed, AI, etc.

Truth is that iPhone can't matchup to Android Giants which is confirmed in real world speed tests where Apple loses to 500$ devices.

The reason why iQOO scores high is because they use superior cooling where the SOC doesn't throttle as badly as others.
This is confirmed by temperature tests where they are head to head and better than some of the gaming phones out there.

(Look at Realme X50 Pro vs. Redmi K30 Ultra Antutu comparison in YouTube)

Let's see what happens if Qualcomm removes access of Chinese OEMs of using their chips.

Well i know the real life performance matters but to me more important is how long a phone can keep being as a brand new. How long it can remain top class.
For exaple i am a proud owner of Moto X4 and since bought even after 3 years of use the pphone works great like charm and even the new games are outstanding.

Antutu themselves already put a disclaimer themselves that the benchmarks are executed differently, hence the different scores.

                        https://www.antutu.com/en/doc/119646.htm

There's nothing to do with iPhone's reduced RAM capacity. Stop it. And those people are just purely delusional.

So android gains an extra 20.000 points because of the version 8 update. But the 865/865+ is the most powerful chip still though. Waiting to see the a14 and kirin 1000.

Also they are notoriously unreliable, since you can optimize for them. Couple them with other metrics and then you will get a better picture.

Honestly, who cares? chipsets are irrelevant in day to day usage now, they have surpassed any processor requirements you will ever need for an iOS or Android environment. Personally, I think its a stupid choice to buy a flagship phone from 2020 is you can get a mid range phone where all the 'tactile' functions match a high end (build quality, battery, software). People learnt this lesson a long time ago, which is why hardly nobody buys Intel i7 or i9 processors, you don't need it 99% of the time
