Apple don't revolutionise anymore. Same design for the past 3 years apart. Only thing changed is the shape of the metal LOL what a change. Didn't even try making the notch smaller lazy company.
Still on iPhone 6 . I really need cash
Ladha, 13 Oct 2020You have a good point with the variable refresh rate
60hz is also getting outdated in flags... more60hz is already outdated.
It's getting outdated even on budget devices.
Me personally after switching from iPhone 11 pro Max to OP8 Pro, would never go back to pedestrian 60hz ever again.
abigfanoftechs, 12 Oct 2020There are loads of games for Android at 120Hz:
https://www.androidauthority.com/asus-rog-phon... more"Loads of games"
The only GOOD game I see their is minecraft and maybe asphalt legends.
All those other games are from the small developers looking for attention by just supporting 120hz. It doesn't mean their game is good.

60hz is also getting outdated in flagships these days. Not saying Apple is bad, but it seems like they really are the last ones to adapt to the growing market. The innovation meme is real
You know, I always believed there's a third way...
Put in a bigger battery and get rid of camera bump. Boom, 5G with 120hz screen AND bigger battery AND without a camera bump.
Nah, who am I kidding? Everyone NEEDS 5G, no, 5.5G, no, 6G or GTFO!
Seriously, though, I haven't been able to hit the limits of 4G, no idea why companies are obsessed with 5G in phones. I'd rather have 120hz without 5G.

There is no wa... moreIf they had done what the Androdi manufacturers had done and given this a big 5000mAh+ to 10000mAh you would been right but remember this is Apple we are talking about... Apple prefers to make the device as power efficient as possible and pair the thing with a tiny battery... :I
JDK, 13 Oct 2020Yo, do you understand there's this thing called "light usage" on smartphones? N... moreSo true
Just an excuse to save on cost and save a feature for next year's iPhone. There is no way power consumption would be too large considering variable refresh rate displays and their "4G-5G" dynamic switching to save on power.
5G though is a more dominant feature to have, considering the marketing push it has been doing. Personally, 4G is plenty
BMSmith, 12 Oct 2020More nonsense from the world's greatest marketing company.
The reason they haven'... moreYo, do you understand there's this thing called "light usage" on smartphones? Not all people use their phones 24/7 playing tons of games and browsing the web.
"Apple always had poor battery life". Had you heard about the iPhone 11 series? Oh yeah, people like you would still trash it as well.
"No decent ideas on their own". Yeah. You know who invented multitouch? The MODERN smartphone(not those ones with resistive touch and laggy applications, not those IBM ones). Even if you say apple didn't invent the first smartphone, as I remember, android copied apple's idea along with Samsung anyway.
Just from the "no decent ideas on their own" comment, I can tell your one of those people who only care about spec for price, when that's not even the deciding factor for most consumers.

5G is a one trick pony and nobody needs or cares for it. By the time it ever becomes relevant 6G/7G would've been introduced already
That said, Apple you better include 90Hz screens on all your iPhones or you will actually start losing customers.
Anonymous, 13 Oct 2020Doesnt change the fact Apple need Samsung and so do others for various components, if they did... moreBesides the screen, there nothing else from samsung inside iphone.
Not even all iphones use samsung screen.
Iphone 13 Mini and 13 Pro will use Boe/LG, just 13 and 13 Pro Max will have 50% of units using samsung oled.
They have a small ahitty battery..... No wonder.
Android Authority, 13 Oct 2020Not only that, fans will be like "Apple did 120hz better than others" Already I am ... moreEvery useful feature that iOS lacks and is already mastered by Android magically becomes useful when iOS gets it. Uptil then it's called a gimmick.

Already I am reading comments like "120hz is not mastered yet", "it's a gimmick", "no apps or games to take advantage of it". All of which are false.
Ok....But today is the date it will release right? So what does that mean "Apple became a Trillion in the next 3 hours!" Btw thanks for the information!

Two radio buttons:
- 60Hz default
- 120Hz for people who don't care about battery life
This is a good option.
Anonymous, 12 Oct 2020You said all companies need Samsung.
It is wrong.

So that statement is still correct but good try nontheless
