JDK, 13 Oct 2020$870? Wait, note 20 is cheaper in other countries? I thought in the U.S it started from $999.It's the same price here, $999, but a promotional offer from Samsung has brought down its price for a limited period. I guess the same was, or is still available in the US too, as last time I read, the discount was being offered in US as well, on both, 20 and 20 Ultra
Am good with 60hz display. No problem there. However, removing the charging brick is completely unacceptable to me. But can someone use android charger with these? Maybe buy only cable?

With weak hardware of phones, video will look way inferior on bigger TVs.
Imagine the difference between a 7s3 ( 16 bit raw video 600Mbps) and phone (10 bit non-raw 100Mbps) ... It is sun versus flashlight.

Not the video format only.
Many professional photocameras cannot record raw video.

LiDar is a big deal.

SD865 can do HDR10, HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision.
To use Dolby, they are paying royalties.
You do not when using HDR10+ or HLG.
You need screen with Dolby to play it properly and keep best quality.

Do better for this world. I am fine with tht but why then not charge us less for the phone. Crazy right... "3 billion dollar company, here we come" 🤣

Which means No Phone. Not even the iPhone 12, right now.
"The iPhone 12 Pro are the only phones on the market to record Dolby Vision video. The faster chipset color-grades every frame of 10-bit video for best quality."
Not sure why they have 10-bit video if its Dolby Vision video (they could have shot RAW video, which the Dolby Vision standard is capable of). Maybe they want to say their 10-bit, which they finally have, is better than the other 10-bits around?
Hopefully some of these camera innovations we can see, noticeably.

Whackcar, 13 Oct 202060Hz display, 18w charging, 2.5x optical zoom... Very modern indeed. /syou do know 90% of people in the world uses 60hz screen phones right? No one will spend $1400 on Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
I'd frankly not mind the presence of a notch on these phones, since this year's phones do pack a lot of exciting features, especially in the camera department and the screens are also LED across all models with Super Retina being standard, but the prices outside US are gonna be too much for any android user looking to switch to iOS and that'll keep me from getting it, as the Note 20 is just $870 here currently whereas the 12 Pro will be at least $1100 as they tend to be expensive outside their country

LiDar is a big deal.
Better zoom(smaller upgrade)
4x better drop resistance?
Dolby vision HDR video recording?(no other phone does that)
ProRAW photo and video?
Magsafe for wireless charging alignment(smaller improvement)?
And for the iPhone 12 and 12 mini: Super retina xdr display?
Droidfans gonna call every one of these features trash and I know it.
You know what, it's honestly not worth telling you guys the spec sheet, since y'all gonna trash every part of it anyway.
ArmChairCritique, 13 Oct 2020To be honest, we generally end up with a few charging cables, even charging blocks.
Headphon... moreWell, I for my part would need to buy either a new power brick or a new cable, as all my power bricks at home have USB-A. For the amount of money I'd spend on an iPhone, this really shouldn't be happening.
I do understand your (and Apples) reasoning behind it, though.

Notice that you cannot tell the size of the notch by looking at the dozen of pictures attached to the article, because all of them are Apple propaganda crafted to conceal the notch. What a joke
