Because there isn't any good in-display fingerprint scanners on the market. If they put fingerprint scanner i would have to work as well as their physical one and we all know current ones can't deliver that. Also Face ID just better not talking about this pandemic stuff, but normally. And they won't change their plan for hopely short of period time. Face ID is here to stay.

Why don't they put the in-display fingerprint sensor instead of the Face ID ? Especially with everyone wearing masks it's just better to get rid of that controversial feature and let people unlock phones with regular fingerprints

Your phone will almost never be in that situation, or ever need that. We need to focus on what's core, and not some marketing hype.

If they are looking to re-implement FPS then it will be a side facing one like the one found on the new iPad Air.

Apple continue to kill Android phones with these prices. Honestly, Pixel 5 vs iPhone 12 is not even a comparison. The iPhone 12 destroys it. Either Andorid phone manufacturers need to lower pricing drastically or risk going out of business.

"Apple presented this as a move to reduce carbon emissions...." and was not at all under pressure to do so because the EU have said get rid of the endless waste they think they cause.

So saing it is bad is kinda false, because that would mean it does not work, but it does, really well i might say, and i do miss fingerprint sensor on the older iphones.

Seems like the 12 Pro camera is the same as last year's 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max camera except for the new LiDAR 3D TOF sensor and brighter aperture for the main camera. The 12 Pro Max camera though is the one I really anticipate the most. Definitely will wait to see the full review of that phone. It can definitely give both Samsung Galaxy S20+ or Note20 Ultra and Sony Xperia 1 ii a run for their money.

It's a trade off which i think most would take over having those horrible in screen fingerprint scanners Samsung is offering. Web is full of people complaining how unreliable they are.

to me its unbelievable they are still using a big notch design. Samsung had it spot on with the "punch hole" that is certainly much less of an annoying design.
