Headphone jack, 14 Oct 2020No person on the Android side ever praised the manufacturers for removing the headphone jack, ... moreI disagree. If I'm paying more than $1000 for a phone, I expect to come with earbuds and a charger. If not, it's not worth the money.

It's time, we the consumers, put a halt on this crazy moves manufacturers are plaiying with our pockets and money.

This is the next model for all android...I use an iPhone 11 pro but I am 100% sure that my next phone will be android, why?well cuz next apple might just send you the phone in a plastic bag(my mistake biodegradable plastic)....this cant fly and ppl should unite against them...I would had got this if every iPhone for the last 5 years would had come with fast 18w brick....but since iPhone only come with 5w ,except 11 pro....this is bs....ecofriendly this is more greenfriendly as in greendollar friendly for apple....also those earpods old ones get some wear 1 year so why not(again ecofriendly-green)....the explination in that keynote with what is real is far off(so no more brick,no more headset, but we get the flyers and those paper books....right....this force to adapt wireless earpods and the lack of brick rise the cost with 40-100 wire if not 300 wireless...)So thanks but NO thanks Apple keep your premium items ...Btw lot of youtubers get paid to say this is gr8 dont take there advice you can smell the bs from miles away....

L.O.R.D, 14 Oct 2020That's not even required, android is already far better even without years of those updates In 5 years at least in the past, hardware differences will be so huge that by upgrading the is, you will perfectly waste all its capabilities and render useless. Unlike iOS which had too deal worth almost similar hardware and very few notable changes can make the devices behave similarly for many years and possibly by throttling the speed of innovation (which can actually be an advantage for iOS if you look at it from the long term updates) . Android might eventually follow this concervative back-dated model in the future if they enormous success of iOS and it's adoption. So far too many years of software upgrade is not a showstopper for Android.

sa11oum, 14 Oct 2020It's so amazing to read all these comments by the Fandroids, because Samsung especially w... moreThis move would have been sensible for a company like Samsung who has been shipping type c to type c cables n adapters for some time now. Apple on the other hand moved to type c to lighting just last year and they include that cable in the latest iphone boxes and expect everyone to have bought last year's models. All iphones before that came with type A adapters. So they are forced to buy an adapter anyway or maybe the wireless one because all iPhones would come with one.

Lol wait, I posted the first comment without visiting an Apple site to see the details - wired earpods are now going for $19, and so is the basic power adapter. It's not like the phones' price tags are lower, you just got to shell out more to get the same basic accessories. Brilliant.

My next phone is Android, not sure why I ever doubted that, but now it's a certainty.

Apple's greed knows no end. I can see why earpods are not necessary especially given their Airpods' success, but a power adapter costs them nothing and is actually still pretty useful (especially since they've been unable to make their wireless charging station happen).

So to save packaging material they removed theearphones wall adapter and made the box smaller. But the separate earphones and wall adapter come with their own packaging material when you buy them so what is exactly saved? lol

sa11oum, 14 Oct 2020It's so amazing to read all these comments by the Fandroids, because Samsung especially w... moreNo person on the Android side ever praised the manufacturers for removing the headphone jack, as a matter of fact, most people are still pissed about it. Even with that tons of phones still come with headphone jacks and anything below $500 is pretty much guaranteed to have one. Also Samsung removed the headphone jack 3 years after Apple, by that time, they had already introduced 3 generations of wireless earbuds and prices for wireless earbuds from other companies have come all the way down to just $20. As for removing the chargers, it's truly a shitty move, but Android manufacturers have been pushing much more expensive 65W and 120W adapters lately, so it's far more justifiable for them. Especially since they have USB-C which allows them to use the same adapter for all their gadgets including their phones, tablets, laptops, consoles, controllers, speakers etc. The adapter is a separate device for all your gadgets, not just a necessary accessory for you phone
