Android Authority, 15 Oct 2020Yet another victory ✌ for chips running Android. I’m glad Android users have imaginary victories in their head 🤣
Now that the iPhone 12 series has been launched finally and us closing in on 2021, Which smartphone do you think wins phone of the year 2020?
Yet another victory ✌ for chips running Android.
prayu, 15 Oct 2020100% agreed. A14 will be better than 2022's chips tooAnd 2033's chips too.
And what exactly are you on, Sir.
AnonD-804996, 15 Oct 2020Oh you the biggest Apple hater. You may just not say anything as your username speaks all abou... moreYou are the biggest Apple Brand boy on this site along with JDK.
You guys simply can't handle Apple's processor ending up weak on Antutu.
Apple processors have reached its limit.
Now decline of Apple will begin.
Anonymous, 15 Oct 2020"2-3 apps opened with that robotic arm is equivalent to a person opening 5 apps in the sa... moreIn other youtube speed tests, tests are done multiple times to eliminate human errors. Whenever opening time is too close, they call it a draw.
In phonebuff speed test, 3 apps opened with that robotic arm is equivalent to a person opening 5 apps in the same time frame in real life.
This is why the phonebuff speed tests are not an accurate representation of real world speed tests which are done with your hands as smartphones like iPhone get more time to catchup whereas in other speed tests, they don't get time to catchup eventually lagging behind.
In other words, When you open individual apps one by one with a significant gap in between them, iPhone does well. The moment the system is taxed with multiple apps being opened in a short time, iPhone lags behind.
This is why phonebuff's tests get different results compared to all other tech channels doing speed tests.
In all other tests, the legion phone, Xperia 1 II, Poco F2 pro and others are destroying iPhone in speed tests.
I'll trust the rest of the YouTube world over phonebuff's robotic arm gimmick.
Of course it fails to impress..just like every other Apple product out there!
They said 5% more powerful compared to the A13, so there is no need to say that you can't compare the A14 with sd 865 bcuz they compared the A14 with A13 and the difference is very négligeable so....
A14 =A13 in performance except if the throttling that was on the A13 is reduced a bit
I was excpecting the A14 to be at least 700k but it is not great , I would happily prefer the sd 865+, 865 + cooling wich means without throttling or the next sd 875
Apple "MAY" win maybe in processing or integration of software with hardware but I saw an fps comparaison between sd 865 and A13 after a period of playing and the A13 throttled to 50fps while the sd 865 was still 59 to 60fps, using the fps meter
So for emulator for example or heavy games I will easily choose sd 875 over A14
Anonymous, 15 Oct 2020Literally every manufacturer mentions the type of storage on launch.... Can you take your bias... moreYeah, they mention storage in CAPACITY, not speed. Are you dumb or something? Everyone is bragging about camera's megapixels, display Herz and battery capacity in mAH, but NO ONE is explaining that it's UFS whatever or NVMe whatever type of storage. You only find this stuff on technical spec sheets.

Yeah, it's very dumb to chose a phone that has everything i need instead of what the majority of the peopole prefer without justification, and not caring if it's not the fastest cpu on the market, even p30 pro still holds up pretty well after 2 years.
Btw thanks for the very civilised insult.
I am guessing Manu Gulati (in 2017) and Gerard Williams III's leaving Apple (in 2019) has slowed down the developments in the SoC division. Also, I am sure there may be issues with TSMC's 5nm mode and the benefits of 5nm over 7nm may be much smaller than we think, based solely on smaller nodes.
The iPhone's sudden slowing down of improvements in SoC is extremely disappointing for Apple and also for the industry as a whole. Maybe the Snapdragon 875 and Exynos 2100 finally have a lead over Apple, and possibly by a noticeable margin.
I hope there are versions of AMD's Infinity Cache allowing for the cache memory sharing to help.improve both efficiency and speed greatly.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2020Literally every manufacturer mentions the type of storage on launch.... Can you take your bias... moreAnd next year when every Android phone loses headphones and powerbrick, what then? Unbox Therapy trashing Apple about the 3.5 and when Android phones did the same thing, nothing was said.
You can't compare AnTuTu iOS and Android benchmark score.
They're written in different ways.
Then The iOS version uses Apple’s Metal API while the Android version uses OpenGL ES and vulkan API.
The scoring mechanisms for the iOS version and the Android version of Antutu Benchmark are significantly different, and therefore the test results of the two versions are not directly comparable.
So, only ignorant people will compare them directly and on GSMARENA, there are a lot of this type people.
