apple shouldve used this sensor, atleast 16mp... 12mp is starting to be outdated, next year even more.

The 48 from omnivision inside Mi10 Ultra is 1/1.32".
Must be about 2,5x the size.
There is no "sensor can be used in wide and ultra wide cameras".
You can use anywhere if you have space for it.
As selfie or "zoom".
I actually hope to see more OV cameras in smartphones. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra uses an OV48C sensor as the main camera and the DxOMark results show that s size does matter in a camera module.
I hope that budget brands will use this sensor in place of the small Sony imx sensors.
Look the new 48MP Onmivision sensor in Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. The best in business. Night mode works much faster than competition.
Hopefully it will be used for ultrawide cameras in cheaper flagships (Oneplus, Xiaomi, Realme).
I'm sure we'll see this on some Xiaomi phones in the future. I'll be curious how this stands up to the top 64MP offerings from Sony and Samsung. The OV 48MP sensor looks quite a bit better than the Samsung 48MP imo.
Considering the price point of Omnivision, this is great news. They're going to overtake Samsung Sensors nice and easy. Even brands like Ulefone and Umidigi can make use of these giant sensors for some cheap phones with solid pics.
