never regret getting 1ii even after 5ii announcement... 1iii might be announced on 2021q1, that means i have been using my phone for more than 3 months and i am not chasing chipsets anyway... coming from z5 premium and xz2 compact, i dont see myself upgrading for the next 2-3 years...

I remember being all-for headphone jacks. Then I got galaxy buds over a year ago and never touched my S9's jack ever again haha

come on it’s 2020. Bluetooth is far better for all mobile situations. For earbuds the sound quality with AptX or AAC is as just as good as anything wired without using a DAC

Just look at how LG and ... moreyeah true for LG and Sony but the problem lies somewhere else but being no trend follower.
LG has very bad reputation with their software both quality and number of updates. I had a LG G2 which had some serious bugs in the OS. Pus their marketing department is a mess. I wanted to buy LG V60 but it is not available in my country while they are marketing a crap device named velvet for 500 bucks.
Plus LG still dont provide OLED with all their new mid ranger (Q92) while samsung is offering OLED for entry level phones. why would someone spend 400-500 dollars for LCD when they get OLED for the same price? I am not saying that LCD is way worse than OLED but OLED shows eye popping colors that people wants.
Sony is suffering from no advertisement plus higher price compared to competitors. and sony doesn't have many devices. maybe 3-5 phones a year!!! Look at Xperia 1 II. it might be one of the best flagships of the year, but sony is in no situation to ask $1200 for their flagship.
IMO, I dont think they listen to the consumers too. these companies needs to research the market and get their strategy fixed otherwise they would keep losing money like they are doing right now.

I've been using mobile phones with jack for about 10 years and never had a problem with it, and went to the sea abd to the beach and guess what, it is still working, and the majority of people have will agree. Plus it just works, you just plug in you phones and that's it. I don't have to think about charging my earphones every 3-4 hours. And for sure you didn't try some good headphones from Sennheiser or Audio Tehnica. And in the end, it is about freedom of choice, if you don't like it, don't use it, nobody is forcing you and it is not going to bother you at the same time. Some people really like to be slaves...

I agree phone hardware good of flagship phone but messed up and I am using iPhone 5s for last 3 years and never hang stuck I don’t know with means hung in iPhone not in android

LG and Sony would like to have a word with that. Even Sony realized that removing the 3.5mm jack is not an ideal solution. I have been on the wireless audio bandwagon long enough to realize that I wouldn't embrace it anymore. Give me wired audio all day long tqvm.
