TunakTunak, 19 Oct 2020I think all these fast changing phones should come with an one time free battery replacement. ... moreMy phone is rated for 10W, but it gets hot when charging with its 2A power cable. So I use an older 1.5A cable, it doesn't charge above 1.3A and the battery doesn't get above 38 °C. It's been 2.5 years and the battery is as good as day one.

I have a 30W charging phone. Is charging fast, is safe and is enough for me. Also, I am not planning of keeping a phone for more than 1 year, so I do not care about battery degradation. I paid 180EUR for it. Next year I will sell it with 100EUR, put another 100EUR and buy the next model, if necessary. Problem solved.
People are complaining too much or give this things too much attention. You do not like fast charging, good for you, there are plenty of normal chargers out there. Buy one and charge your phone for 2.5h each time. And you can keep that phone for 5 years. You can take it on the after life with you if you love it so much, lol.

Xiaomi provides the fastest charging speed (80 W) for your phone. Meanwhile Apple provides the slowest charging speed (0 W) in the world as the phone does not come with a charger.

I think every manufacturer should provide battery health info.

Also it may not be relevant to many but multiple high wattage chargers on an 230 V extension cord may create sparking or damage of the board. In my case it has happened so it's either I upgrade whole wiring of my home or limit myself to 28 watt chargers.

I think all these fast changing phones should come with an one time free battery replacement. My phone has 18W charging and I'm seeing major battery degradation in just 2 years. And charges for replacement is absurd. It's frustrating to pay 30-35% of cost of a handset for just a battery replacement.

They really don't understand the disadvantages of creating all these super fast, ultra fast and fast charging things at all, do they?
Do they even realise how it's going to impact the batteries and all? Lol
