Mate series is not known for camera, they are known for the debut of the latest Kirin Chip.
The camera setup is traditionally a slightly downgraded version of the P series.

Periscope has 90 degree placement.
You cannot have fixed 125mm lens without going 90 degrees unless you use very tiny 1/6" or smaller.

Very very suspicious. Whenever there is a Samsung, Nokia or an iPhone (basically any non-Chinese brand), all of these commentators are bashing with full force every time over these brands. But when there is a Huawei, you will read the most pleased comments, despite being just early leaks. The software experience that Huawei is providing (since the ban) leave much to be desired for the most people outside of China...
Huawei is desperate trying to sell their HMS phones in the West (+ S.Korea, Japan, etc.), but the vast majority is not interested in these.
And no, Huawei had record sale *only* in mainland China. Outside it's irrelevant now.

Because 5x telephoto lens need at least 15mm space.

Huawei deliberately gave this info to someone to raise buzz and conversation for the Mate 40 series before official announcement and hope that it can still some some attention from the extremely sold out iPhone 12 series.

So a periscope zoom might add slightly more variable usability

And I don't think Mate 30 Pro E will have GMS unless it uses Kirin 980 and Android 9, P30 Pro NE was just P30 Pro with more storage so obviously GMS wouldn't be a problem
Anyways leaks are way too scarce right now which is quite strange

All apps that I need are already there on Appgallery & Petal Search, including banking apps that supported in my country. Its not like the unusable services like Mate 30 launch last year. HMS is growing fast now, and the Petal Search introduction solve a lot of a problem when it comes to apps availability.
Will definitely upgrade my Mate 20 to this.
