All tech have their security risk, PRISM comes to mind.
Problem being Huawei being "chinese" is not part of Five Eyes and any possible security risk from them are not advantages to Five Eyes.

Hence the idea of Huawei massive 5G network is cut in the bud despite whether the security risk at the time actually real or not.
It's more to Western Five Eyes decision than Trump decision.

Bahahaha!

I will love for this thing hit the market and for those that buys it, I would love to be a fly-on-the-wall when users start having some issues, accidents, screen repair, etc. and all the Mate 40 series inventory is depleted due to the embargo.

Trump win or lose will not change the embargo. Both the Senate and The House both agrees that Huawei is a national security threat and will enforced this embargo no matter who's president.

Grab a chair and popcorn. This shizzle about to get real!

Bahahaha!

It's good. Combined with Huawei's optimality it can be great. Too bad the rest of the world won't be able to enjoy that. With limited number of the Chooser, I don't see the phone made it outside china.

What is even the use of having 24 GPU cores when you’re not going to use the power? And the Mate 40 Pro Plus probably isn’t going to have a hexagonal camera cutout. Teme on Twitter tweeted out a blurred photo of a camera cut out with 5 cameras. Like the Mate 40 Pro’s but with 5 cameras. It’s blurred, but you could just make it out. The Mate 40 RS will have that Hexagonal shape cutout. But so far the best flagship of 2020. Chip is the best, camera is next level (It’s Huawei, it’s guaranteed that it’ll be the best) Display is top-tier, not the best though.

It's an octagon. Not a hexagon.
