I'm really sorry but no Google services = dead on arrival for me.
If they allowed unlocking the bootloader, the problem would have been easily fixed, but they don't so that's that.

I think recent reports are half right. I feel they are hiding a totally different sensor that hasn't been unleashed.
I think that 50-20-12MP combo will be for the vanilla Mate 40 (but the 12MP being a regular telephoto). Then the Pro nabs 50 (or possibly 108MP per GSMArena's report in June)-40-12MP where the telephoto becomes a periscopic lens.
- All 3 models will adopt Mate 20X Stereo Speakers
-Pro and Pro+ will include 2nd generation M-Pen slots
-Mate 40 Pro is going to have 4,500mAH battery while vanilla uses the same one from Mate 30
-Vanilla gets IP53 while Pro and Pro+ get IP68 per the norm
-only the vanilla model will retain the 3.5mm jack
What would I LIKE to see?
-New M-Pen with more functionality including a 3.5mm jack on top to emulate both wired and wireless earphones with any of our favorite headsets (you know...what Samsung constantly fails to do). This way, neither of the Pro versions need an on-board 3.5mm jack
-Pro+ with a 6.9-7.0 1440p/120Hz refresh rate display (because if there won't be a Mate 40X, this needs to fill that void)
-Pro+ with 5,500-6,000mAH battery
-Pro+ with pop-up cam for unobstructed display along with front-facing stereo speakers ALONG with the OLED speaker for optimum audio quality outside of the headset.
(as you can clearly tell, $300 difference should justify more than JUST camera upgrades for the Pro+ model in my honest opinion unlike the trashy difference between the P40 Pro and Pro+)
-Every 4G LTE/5G band known to man to test the 'patriotism' of all the countries that banned Huawei tech.
But hey, a man can dream right? I'm half-expecting this to not really be impressive.

USA are afraid of Huawei beating Apple because they're the only company that can do it. That's why they banned them. Huawei phones are incredibly good, it's a pity they don't come with google services and apps or else Apple would be in deep trouble in the next years.

- improved camera system along with better ultrawide ( wider fov )
- improve video quality and make it flagship level
- i know it won't be widely available like p40 pro but at least don't do same thing as mate 30 pro
- keep prices the same as p40 series if not lower which is better

I really hope they announce Mate 40 X. I still absolutely love the Mate 20 X and would love to see an upgrade for it.
