“The company still unable to properly figure out the Indian market”

It’s simple, sell as cheap as possible smartphones. No secrets.

Whatever makes you sleep at night pal.

Sony should be ashamed that a 2 year old company comes in and sells 35 million phones.
Sony hasn't sold that many in the last 5 years.
Those Chinese manufacturers that you hate are bringing all the innovation these days and people get excited for what new they have to offer.
Literally nobody cares about Sony these days. They are in spectator mode currently.

Don't buy China phone crap like Huawei, Oppo, RealMe, Vivo, and ZTE. These phones run on stolen tech.

Indian brands are inferior in quality and the specifications of phones are way behind chinese brands. So chinese phones dominate indian market.

Big Daddy, 22 Oct 2020Funny how India has big problems with China and yet India is the biggest market for Chinese phones.,Maybe they have a problem with their government and not with affordable and reliable smartphones made by technology enthusiastic people.

Jom12, 22 Oct 2020Hope micromax IN will destroy themHope Micromax actually do something good unless in previous times when they used to outsource Cheap chinese phones & Stick label of Micromax.

Like it or not but Chinese phones are offering a very impressive Hardware package at very reasonable prices & they have been here for several years while Micromax is new to market after a very long absence.
So it's going to be difficult for Micromax to be on par to Existing phones in market.

But lets hope...they actually deliver Good hardware with good Software & After sale support.

Big Daddy, 22 Oct 2020Funny how India has big problems with China and yet India is the biggest market for Chinese phones.,The main reson behind Chinese phones still dominating india is Lack of Indian smartphone brands.Indians don't have that many options beside chinese brands.

Indian Smartphone space is dominated mostly by Chinese brands- Xiaomi, vivo, oppo,Realme,Oneplus,Huawei,Lenovo,Motorola & a few more.

Samsung,Asus,Apple,Nokia are the only major brands exist in Smartphone space.
Apple,Asus only offer High end phones.
Nokia is simply Lackluster.Lack of features, bad after sale service.
So it only comes to Samsung.
Samsung is the only non-chinese brand that offer variety of products in all price ranges. And clearly Samsung has been benefitted from this Anti-China movement.

Xiaomi found in 2010,first phone release at late 2011,the 4 years later it become the top sale smartphone company in China, sell 67million phone in china that year.
I think at 2011 to 2015,xiaomi is enough 'successful'

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2020Xiaomi isn't "successful" in china. Oppo vivo and Huawei are doing much betterat 2015 xiaomi is the best sale in Chinese market
Then situation change, people start focus not only on soc performance but also on camera, charging, screen and CMF design.
Xiaomi have a really bad day at 2016-2017,due to relationship with samsung and other part supplyer become worse.Xiaomi cant get suitable screen and other parts.
For example, the xiaomi note 2 is bad due to samsung refuse to offer good QHD screen, then the entire note series are canceled(xiaomi note3 become a midrange phone instead of flagship) by xiaomi.
Thus make the xiaomi's market share fall down quickly.

Huawei alone has around half the market there, which is impossible in India because of lack of GMS, xiaomi is simply filling void at entry level and one+ at premium segment
