Huawei introduced this as a multimedia consumption/ productivity device, a direct competitor to galaxy note..
You can only hope Huawei will design a compact phone for P series .. but I really doubt it as P series tends to focus on camera and in order to house bigger sensor, the phone form factor must be bigger.
Anonymous, 22 Oct 2020Yawn. Why can't the numbskulls at Huawei come up with a proper compact phone to rival the... moreBattery issues. For example, the 5g on the iphone 12 uses 20% more battery than when it uses 4g. Not even software optimization is enough to save battery. Also, smaller batteries degrade faster than larger batteries because they have a shorter charge cycle. This means that they will eventually reach the end of their lifespan sooner. Even Xiaomi acknowledges some of these points. I also read something about making smaller molds cost a lot and there isn't a huge marker for small phones. So as much as some of us want a compact android phone, it will be unlikely for manufacturers to do so.
"Local connectivity is blazing fast too, Wi-Fi 6+ can soak up 160 MHz of bandwidth - that translates to a whopping 2.4 Gbps transfer speed. You'll need the right router"
... and no other WiFi signals detectable at your location ...
1. Don't like curved screen,
2. Like that round cameras arrangement.
I could live with the curved screen if it is cheap enough.
Anything more $499 is a no go for me.
Yawn. Why can't the numbskulls at Huawei come up with a proper compact phone to rival the XZ2 Compact or iPhone 12 Mini?

Not saying it won't be an issue for everyone but I think a lot of it is either a lack of education, bad media reporting or assumptions.
I always thought I used Google a lot but actually when I looked at it I really don't. Only thing I really used was YouTube but Vanced is much better and working great.
Anonymous, 22 Oct 2020Rs version should've had at least 5000 mh battery More like the Pro+. While the battery tests barely passed, a bigger battery would have been better.
Huawei lost Google Mobile Services and although they might be making massive strides forward with there Huawei Mobile Services the loss of Google Mobile Services in the UK Market is just too big which is a shame as these look like really solid phones.... I might be wrong but HMS seems like it would only do well in China.... there’s also the fact they will struggle to get new chips after they have used there stockpile
Sounds good, need practical use
Why can't Trillion Dollar companies show innovation like Huawei with the kind of camera arrays instead with three eyed jack like set ups
Imperator Neubaticus, 22 Oct 2020Lackluster specs. While the camera prowess looks impressive, not by much.Yeah when i saw that expensive fruit i was are u joking
Looks like we got best looking ,fastest phone with best camera on market . Huawei still kicks ass a d wipe floor with those so called most valuable companys
Vasra, 22 Oct 2020Nice phones, but WAYYYYYY overpriced, even if they had Google Mobile services. Now, no way. And ip12 with slow chip, weak camera , small battery and 64gb storage for 1200euros is ok ? Than im crazy.
Round edges on screen, who in this world likes that? Are a make a pool on that please.
Shit, there is a big ugly black patch on screen upper left side. People are sick of these screens. We all hate this. Just buying a damage like screen at huge 1400 Euro..... Big Failure. Bye
