I mean it seems like you only bash on android now. You say something bad about a android related article. Then you just say nothing bad about IOS? hmm...

I don't like DxOmark.
Companies that don't use their algorithm get lower scores, even though their algorithm is not always the best.
Now I'm waiting for camera spec lovers to say we "haters" have no reason to "bash" DxOmark.
Anonymous, 23 Oct 2020I'm seeing Leica's trademark skin tones and color in the Mate 40 Pro DxOMark samples... moreColor tone and white balance is a tricking and highly personal thing... All major vendor has their own, let not get there...
mandalaphone, 23 Oct 2020Impressive shots and dynamic range. Almost matches DSLR quality. Huawei has done it again.LOL... More like achieving some DSL effect on point-and-shoot device... But quality, you don't actually know own or know how to shoot a DSL camera, do you?
Trollhammeren, 23 Oct 2020It helps if you pre-seed devices to reviewer you know ? You just have to give a F Yawn, if you know how many phone DxO push back on review due to the proclaimed 'in busy process of re-design reviewing process and scoring' you wouldn't say that... But, who cares... Plenty knowledge already agrees on the biased and skewed scoring of DxO... It only places too see some gallery sample for me.

Anyone can claim such and such is better.
The matter of fact is majority of sites say the P40 Pro is better at photography

Fixed focus front camera scores top of the list over Zenfone 7 pro.
That pretty much sums up the credibility of DxOMark.
funny how huawei flagships get tested and reviewed first before they are even sold while it takes weeks or months before we reviews for apple or samsung
I wonder how much $'s???
I'm seeing Leica's trademark skin tones and color in the Mate 40 Pro DxOMark samples. Brown/beige/cream colors are tilted towards a subtle/very faint lemon-yellow-sepia tint in skin tones. The effect results to pleasing skin tones with whites and off whites having a hint of sepia. Leica owners absolutely adore Leica cameras and lenses not only because of the 'Leica color' but also because their ultra expensive prices
makes Leica the iPhone of dedicated cameras/lenses.
I personally prefer Canon, Olympus and Fuji colors (in that order) as their colors are more accurate and true-to-life. Among smartphone makers, Xiaomi's colors (Poco F2 Pro) are closest to Canon colors: true-to-life with no hue embellishments. So no Huawei with Leica influence for me. Besides, a super expensive Huawei phone without Google services is just inutile if you live outside of China. And no, not even a top score in DxOMark's 'phone manufacturer sponsored' rating system will convince me. DxOMark just has too much conflict of interest to be credible. Color is a very personal thing and I'm sure Leica owners will vouch for that aged/sepia-ish Leica colors just as Sony owners will vouch for the Sony color (reddish skin tones, neon green grass).
Yet they still haven't reviewed the Sony Xperia 1 II. Musn't want their Chinese sponsors to be upset!
Kriegsherr, 23 Oct 2020where did you get the xperia 5 II for 675 euros?simple: bought it with the headset "gift" for my design office, so i paid no vat => 775, and sold the headset for 100. final balance: 675 :)))

Shui8, 23 Oct 2020Mostly agreed. But because their Auto mode now works better than Night Mode, I couldnt care le... moreIMO Night Mode should exist as a better alternative to the auto: Meaning, if the camera is capable of shooting excellent low light photos in auto, the Night Mode should make them look *even better*. If Night Mode does worse than auto in every single scene then the company should remove the feature altogether, as it simply makes no sense for them to leave it there and keep the camera app overly cluttered.
Huawei could've easily taken a cue from Google's Night Sight or Apple's Night Mode - Make the SS longer and low the ISO, while stacking more frames to reduce noise even further. There's no way that Huawei was not capable of doing it when Google and Apple managed to implement the feature well at the first attempt. But instead we still get noisier, more artificially sharpened images with extra crop applied for UWA lens for absolutely no reason. This is getting embarrassing for them.
