Same here.
Upgraded myself to the OnePlus 8 pro. Cost me exactly half of the iPhone.
I didn't even have to pay that.
Sold my iPhone 11 pro Max at Rs. 55k (resale value for iPhone being good in my country) and added another 5k to buy 12gb/256gb model of OP8 pro.
120hz is such a huge upgrade. Never going back to pedestrian 60hz ever again.

That's why they keep showing pictures of their iphones with wallpapers that black out the top of the screen to hide the ugly putrid notch that makes the phone's bezel look grossly asymmetrical. Such incompetent amateurs!
Best part of the iPhone 12 series update is the invisible charging brick.
Anonymous, 23 Oct 2020The idiots in South Africa don't even have iphone 12 on their website yetI know right! All the networks are quiet and Useless Core Group iStore here has nothing. Probably when it does arrive late going to cost an Arm and leg compared to the US price.
Anonymous, 25 Oct 2020for android we grab the phone for half the price, use it for 2 years then buy a new one for be... moreThat’s environmentally bad and besides a 2 years old iPhone can be sold for at least 400 dollars if the original price was 800, about half its price. At least here where I live two years old iPhones fetch a minimum 400 dollars. And they are only about 5% more expensive than the USA. So yes... enjoy an iPhone for two years, sell it for 400, add 400 dollars more and get the latest iPhone or you can get a 400 Android for... free! to keep you going for two more years. But I think it’s pity (especially for the environment) to kill an iPhone in just two years. I used my previous iPhones s5 for 6 years before I upgraded to a newer iPhone and the 5s is still working pretty well despite being 8 years old.

Let me tell you, qhd with 120 htz display is really smooth
U gotta try once
And it feels like day and night difference when i use my wife's iphone after using one plus 8 pro
They should have given atleast 90 htz refresh display this year as i don't see any difference from the last year models apart from the design

Not many (any?) 4 years old Android phones can achieve that.

Bullshit Slayer, 23 Oct 2020Resolution has no difference on battery life but PPI does. Higher PPI means smaller pixel. Sma... moreThat's incorrect. Resolution itself is everything that affects battery. PPI just defines the ratio between pixel count and display size. Resolution technically defines PPI, but also affects how much work GPU has to do just rendering menus. If it has to render 2160p at all times or 720p at all times it makes quite a difference on the battery life as GPU has to manipulate that many more pixels. What I'm saying is that different PPI can still mean GPU is rendering same amount of pixels in the end, just because one has larger screen and PPI drops. But resolution is the same. Where lower resolution is lower resolution, meaning GPU is required to do less work. And it can be quite significant. I remember using 720p mode on my Huawei Ascend P7. Battery lasted quite significantly more and visually it was hardly noticeable than running native 1080p.
