Dropped iPhone 12 pro max from a counter, 3 feet high. Phone is 2 months old. Has an Apple rubber case on, back glass is shattered. SHATTERED. Apple wants $599 to repair or replace it.

Their A14 GeekBench scam is exposed.
The chip throttles badly and is losing in speed tests as well.
Not to forget the total battery hog that is 5g. So much for the 5g marketing.
Brand boys too busy defending it by saying, apps aren't optimized for A14 yet.
On one end, they say, apps and games are better optimized for iOS.
When the test doesn't go their way, they say it isn't optimized for A14 chip.
I am wondering what would happen when Snapdragon 875 devices launch 2 months later.

Now we get to the key point. Because it's easy to measure market share – much easier than measuring installed base, which requires large panels of people who you interview on a regular, repeated basis. (ComScore does this in the US, where it provides a picture of the installed base of smartphone users that is consistent back to the end of 2009. Its figures for the three months to September 2013 show a 51.8% installed base for Android - that's 76.6m - and 40.6% for iPhone - that's 60m. It's not 80% Android; not even close.)"

LoL you people are waaaaaayyyyy to gullible.
You know, most of the units "shipped" are the units that retailers think they're gonna sell, not the actual amount people buy.
Market share is the easiest to measure, that's why you people always use it in your arguments.

The chipset is powerful but only on paper. In reality, it's handicapped by poor co-hardware and iOS itself.
Where can I watch Netflix and text a friend at the same time? Or take notes while watching a YouTube video or live translate words from picture/text while doing whatever other activity on the side screen, then we'll talk about value.
Androids are true daily drivers when it comes to productivity, multitasking, full featured functionality, security and privacy in your own hands and just an overall workhorse. It's not handicapped like iOS devices.

JDK, 27 Oct 2020And IOS users don't upgrade as much cause their phones have better longevity.
Android users upgrade so often because they are never happy with their choice, they wish their next phone is THE phone, but it never is. And again and again Android companies screw their users by not giving their OS upgrades. Eventually when they buy iPhone they stay there and are finally happy with their devices. This has happened so many times.
This is also reason why these insecure Android users are in every Apple article. They know they did a bad choice and they can’t, but think why iPhone users are so happy with their devices, that makes them feel very insecure and angry.
It’s very nice to see so many Android switchers going for these new iPhones. Finally they can just enjoy their devices without feeling bad about their choice.
JDK, 27 Oct 2020And IOS users don't upgrade as much cause their phones have better longevity.
Android has better longevity as well. It's just that Android users have the option of getting something better in a few months.
IPhone users keeping their phones for long is a myth. They are upgrading every two years especially in the US.
Best example is this year's iPhone, most people with iPhone 11 series dont need to upgrade to iPhone 12 as there is hardly anything new or useful that would grab their attention.
Several IPhone Xr/XS users who were thinking about updating are now going to be waiting till next year.
