AirPods have come a long way since the launch with iPhone 7, despite its short history.
Automatic ear detection and turning on and off.
Gen 2 faster connect.
Strong battery life.
Automatic switching between devices in iOS14 made it the true universal audio enjoyment between iPad iPhone Watch and Mac.

Sometimes i do not even feel i had my AirPods on. Thats how comfortable it is.

I still remember the first time it launched, it was mocked, tons of toothbrush MEME, people say its just EarPods with wires cut.. a big joke, a sure flop. But now, when you travel the subway, all you see is the same 2 pairs of white toothbrush sticking out of people's ears. No choice because jack was gone? Maybe. But there is no deny its popularity nowadays.

I normally always found earbuds/in ears to be inferior, however there are some earbuds with pretty good audio quality out there now, I wouldn't underestimate them.
