Unfortunately, Nokia phones are bugged with...bugs everytime they update. Yes, security patch it is, but the overall stability of the system is compromised.

I bought Nokia phones recently i can confirm the rigidity of the build quality of Nokia,
        Incredibly durable and stylish.
The phone is heavy and bare alot of drops like shoe!
Something that alot of manufacturers ignore.

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2020Does xiaomi phones have worse quality than other brands like Samsung Huawei and oppo. are they... moreIf you want specifications they are the best you can get in that particular price but the skin they run on miUI is abysmal due to ads, a lot of ads. Other bloatware, useless applications. You can pay a little more and get a bloat-less phone.
Cuz in the longer run, you'll get annoyed with the Xiaomi experience. Same goes for Realme, Techno, low to mid range Oppo and Vivo.

The reason why I decided to buy the Nokia 7.1 over a Samsung is that, frankly, Samsung had stopped making phones with metal frames. I've used to S3 Neo, A3 2015 and A5 2017. 2018, they hurt the Samsung fanboy in me.
I've used a Nokia E71 before and boy, did I love it. So this time, it was the 7.1 or the A50. I went with the Nokia for it's really comfortable size, build and the camera sensor. Adjusting to stock Android was a shock.
This phone, has it's own downsides too. The non-existent camera updates. Faulty Android 10 upgrade that bricked my phone twice and the charging port replacement (which by the way was done for free during the extended warranty).
Now, it's sad that they've going with polycarbonate frames. Keep true to your original design and better software development, especially for the cameras.

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2020Spoiler alert, it won't last 5 yearsI have very functional Mi4c that would like to talk to you lol. One battery replacement after, what... Five years going into six. Kinda sluggish because of only 2GB of RAM but it's perfectly decent for everyday use.

Considering the durability/update combination is the big selling point of Nokia phones now, it would help a lot if they had competitive internals. They might be the big exception to the rule that we don't need flagship SoCs anymore!

As an owner of a cheaper budget to midrange oriented Nokia 5.1 Plus I can state that it is indeed true. I have the phone since December 2018. Built quality is superb and it’s running fine on Android 10. HMD does a good job and Nokia can be satisfied with HMD as partner.

And whenever I visit service centers I notice that they don't have good after sale service, atleast not here in india. Huawei n Samsung has way better service than Xiaomi n Realme.
Even my 1yr n 3mnths old mi 9t pro's camera is not working since morning. Even occasional hanging issues hv become normal even with sd855. Now hv to visit the service center and my previous phone Redmi note 5pro always had screen freezing issues(I've visited 4-5tyms in a yr n then replaced that phone though I didn't face bad experience in service center) n lot of battery drain issue aft miui10. Security patches quarterly. Recently got September security patch..
