Nick WHO, 27 Oct 2020Independent countries don't care about the USA ban hammer. But if Samsung production using anything American, fabrication, machinery, etc they still have to apply for a licence.
It's ridiculous, I love USA but I hate how we are suppose to live by its rule, I'm not American nor do I want to be

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2020Why does Samsung need a license since they are a SK brand?Because everyone who wants to do business with a blacklisted company by US needs approval of US no matter where you are or you will also get the ban hammer LOL.

AnonD-832645, 27 Oct 2020If Nvidia(US) not buy ARM(UK). This (banned things) will not gonna happen. HahaThere still might be a chance where huawei and a bunch of other companies could acquire the parent company of arm.

I see that those who don't need that license will earn a lot of money... it will also bring up companies not reliable on US. Or some may go US free, at least I hope so, as its also us consumers in the whole world who are hurt by this shady politics from just one country.

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2020Why does Samsung need a license since they are a SK brand? It's not as simple as just manufacturing and shipping the panels from outside of the US - as the article states, the supply chain relies on the US due to drivers and support supplied by ARM, and they can't legally trade with Huawei

Cut off from the whole tech world and still making phones that compete and even beat the other flagships in some areas. Huge respect for huawei, literally.
