Jokes, 28 Oct 2020835 and 3200mah battery for $600 on 2020? How bad do you want a hardware keyboard?
I used to love them, had N97 then a N900, thought I couldn't live without one, but times changed and I use Samsung Notes now

Wow .... I feels nostalgic back to the past, reminiscent of Nokia N97, XDA developer should be appreciated for making a brilliant project, even though smartphones with keypads are old fashioned but those with bigger screen sizes are different and it's excellent.

I hadn't heard of this device before this post, but, as noob as I am, I'm in for XDA: they have passion for tech and have been really important in mobile history. I don't mind the chipset age -in XDA are practically wizards, and I know they're going to squish to the limits that harware-, but I'm a bit concerned about that battery capacity; should have been at least 4000 mah, or even 5000, if it's going to have years of support -as supposed for their background-. But that price is a big boomer: more than USD 400-450 is much for an experimental device. All these remind me of Essential Phone; I hope XDA does better next.

Big whoop on the SD835. Heck, I think pretty much anything past the 801 is too much power for what the majority of users use them for.
That being said, this IS older tech, with a new OS. Not gonna drop THAT much on something new that no one has heard of before.

"It should be noted that it is powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset, which will soon be four generations behind Qualcomm’s lineup. There’s a 3,200 mAh battery inside with Quick Charge 3.0..."

Why even bother..? Do it properly or not at all

hardware from 3 years ago with a premium price tag, and publicly available operating systems? DOA, at least for the average consumer

They could have at least designed it with SD855, and 4000 mAh battery, as for that price point it's a little bit too overpriced.

$600!!! Seriously?, For that amount of money they should have given SD 865, 5000mah battery and Lineage 17.0( android 10) out of the box.
It surely is going to be a flop now.

it retails at $899, are they insane? This will surely flop, I hope it doesn't take LineageOS along with it.

Technically like Nokia N97, 5.9 inch screen, 14.mm thick, 3200.mAmp battery...well no thanks...I'll wait for better hardware update.

Ouch, I was expecting to see the price od 299, not 599! On the IndieGoGo page it's actually 639 now... So, probably going to be a flop.
