There aren't 500 different manufacturers. And androids do get updates regularly. Oneplus models especially seem to get frequent updates more so than apple. Lg is every couple of months. I much prefer the android system to apples though. I don't see how anyone in their right mind would want to subject themselves to the torture that is called ios.
iPhone6s bought in 2016 still works like a charm with literally no maintenance work by any means, while my Android colleagues and friends keep changing devices, complaining about lagging, etc.. I wonder if any Android device has a good usage time of atleast 2 years, I mean without any lag or wanting to reset the settings or software in it. iPhone is still iPhone.
Would be interesting to see an Apple search engine.
Recently been moving over to Bing from Google. I have to say it's been smoother than I expected. So I'm interested to see what Apple could bring to the table. I'd give it a try.
lawlgod1000, 28 Oct 2020whatever crap search engine they put up... there's always every going to be google.com...Agreed. On point.
iOS Never Again, 28 Oct 2020The list seems mostly accurate. You simply can't handle the truth in your face.
If you ... moreSays a guy with "iOS Never Again" name. And you're suppose to be a metric for iOS comparison against Android phones. Sure pal. Totally not biased in any way starting with your name...
Also the list is just filled with straight up BS like "Half baked widget system". Because having perfectly aligning and consistently looking widgets is apparently "half baked". But Android's all over the place dimensioned widgets that never align properly with anything even after resizing, look totally out of place and totally like they haven't been updated for a whole decade are totally polished tho. Or "Limited Product Catalogue", because apparently having only 4-5 models yearly is bad apparently. Opposed to 350 new phones released by every vendor just this month. And then everyone rushes defending their inability to support their devices for more than 2 years. Gee, no wonder, I'd have problems supporting 800 devices every year too... And of course to dumb gems like "Duping users into buying into the 5 year update scam where they give latest features 5-10 Years late." Well, at least we get them. You have to buy another 900€ Android phone every 2 years just to get ANY updates. The claim iOS gets features 5 to 10 years after Android is just laughable and you'd know that claim is BS if you'd actually use iOS in last year or two. Not to mention Apple is not even competing with Android. People who go with Apple devices straight up don't care about all the gimmicky trash everyone half bakes into their prototype phones just to differentiate themselves from other 500 Android phone makers. General functionality is the same as any Android, only thing separating them is a set of gimmicky features which then define whether you want that or not. No different than saying you don't like Samsung phones because of Y features in OneUI or prefer OxygenOS because of X features. And they are both based on Android. But no, you just straight up go and say iOS is donkey and Android is god. And we're suppose to take you seriously, but I'm totally an Apple fanboy tho. Jesus you people are lunatics.
Oh, Apple, you really should stay in your lane 😂 There is a reason android holds over 70-75% of the overall smartphone market share. I also find it laughable when y'all say that no one cares about specs, all the while, trashing the new Pixel because they don't feel the price point jives with said specs. How many years have people been bitching that Pixel devices where sub par, because they didn't have all the latest and greatest tech? So, yeah, people do actually care about those things. Also, it's cute that everyone keeps throwing up the "supported for 5 years" rhetoric, as if that actually has any standing. I don't know anyone in the Android community that uses a device as their DD for 5 years, software can only do so much. Also, if you did happen to need to use a device that long, that's what custom roms are for. Something else that Apple will never do. At the end of the day, if you're a tech enthusiast, you're gonna chose Android. If you're looking for a device that "just works" and don't care about customization, Apple is your company.
Good
Google has been getting too intrusive and is getting comfortable with tonns of ads.

What I don't understand is that how come lot of the users didn't even know which model of iPhone they were using.

Ios cant even multitask in 2020 lol
And wheres cloud gaming and emulator? Fyi ios speedtest and battery test in youtube always have subway surfer and candy crash because bionic a14 can only run mini games hahahah
since you read a website like gsmarena i suspect that you are smarter than the average Isheep. you as a consumer should expect to have that best product and services period. whether that means switching everyone year then so be it. you should be forced into a walled garden ecosystem where the dominant player in the space unfairly prioritize their product first. tech ecosystems only exist in order to maximize profit from the consumer.you should be able and free to switch from one company to another as free-flowing as water. the point of capitalism is that competition ensures that those who innovate the best win but keep a closed-off system cheats this and doesn't allow for free market competition and eventually monopolies where its my product and nothing else this is what apple has done so spectacularly.

You're just spewing out some nonsense you've read about or heard from somewhere. There is no way you've actually used any iPhone in last 2 years if not more...
[deleted post]Android is an OS. iPhone is not an OS. You can’t compare Android to an iPhone. And as for iOS, Android isn’t ahead of iOS in any way. iOS apps are better designed and work seamlessly across the entire Apple ecosystem. iPhones have excellent hardware especially the processor and the cameras. iPhones receive software updates for 4-6 years. And retain the value for way longer than Android phones. iPhones are literally better than Android phones in every way.

Kindly lemme know when Apple fixes these issues then we can consider iOS to be as good as Android.
-No seamless connectivity with devices other than Apple devices.
-Half baked widget system.
-Limited customization ability.
-No theme store which facilitates in changing the look of the device with one click.
-Users have to beg for new features.
-Overpriced products and accessories along with high servicing costs.
-Limited Product Catalogue.
-No privacy, company specializes in giving users the illusion of privacy.
-Dead in innovation department despite being worth trillion dollars.
-Looting the customer base under the disguise of saving the environment.
-Blaming the user for their hardware failures like AntennaGate.
-Deliberately slowing down phones and battery through software updates.
-Handicapped nature of the OS where an user has to jump through 10 different steps to get basic things done.
-Duping users into buying into the 5 year update scam where they give latest features 5-10 Years late.
What is the use of Apple search in markets where there products and services are prohibitively high, due to which only 1% of the market uses them? Search and target 1% customers as in my place 1🤣🤣

You have to see why iPhone users have this stigma of not being too aware
It's gets even worse when iPhone fans argue that specs don't matter so apple doesn't even need to implement features the average Joe doesn't care about
But then they brag about Dolby vision video recording.. which ironically the average Joe won't care about
Or how they keep shifting the goal posts when apple isnt ahead in something like how widgets aren't useful
Fairly typical of Apple. Always paying catchup and reinventing the wheel. Then afterwards claim they invented it first.
Anonymous, 28 Oct 2020Even Android from 5 years back is more advanced than current iOS.
IOS got widgets 10 years la... moreAnd this here my lads, is a prime example of someone who has absolutely ZERO idea what he's reading or talking about. Literally at NO point I've said Android is inferior or outdated. And your smarta** can go back and find my comments where I say Android and iOS are basically the same with minor differences. Go on. Look it up. Also you seem to have difficulties differentiating "waiting for updates for months" as in "Google releases them and then you wait for months for vendors like Samsung to pick them up and seed them to their devices". And more often than not your eligibility for updates somehow runs out and you remain stuck with some old version of it. All I said the way updates are distributed is slow and not long enough and you sperged like I pushed your grandma from the cliff or something. Jesus dude, chill and understand what the hell you're reading instead of sperging like a fruitcake.
Also widgets may be "10 years late", but at least they aren't some totally random out of place element bolted next to icons which makes it totally inconsistent and ugly, misaligned not to mention basically every widget I used on Android had sync issues where it kept displaying outdated info even though underlaying data has updated. And they often ate battery for no damn reason.
Stop spreading nonsense about iOS and iPhone when only experience you've had with it was watching someone on Youtube about it and now you think you're the smartest person in the world. Laughable.
