Anonymous, 29 Oct 2020And let me guess, you need that app constantly running sucking your battery in the background ... moreWhat app? If your phone supports mid-band, then it works. If it doesn't, get a phone that does... It's just a different frequency that they're operating on... No app required.... No idea where you even got this nonsense idea.
Anonymous, 29 Oct 2020And let me guess, you need that app constantly running sucking your battery in the background ... moreYea, unfortunately...the price for using ANY phone on the network meeting the minimum bands of 2, 4, and 12 instead of a phone from T-Mobile. Better than what Verizon's doing with 5G.

I would like to add for you guys that T-Mobile out here in the US plans on dropping all essences of 2G/3G to upgrade the entire network for 5G by January 2021 (AT&T by January 2022). All of us T-Mobile customers such as myself will have to find a VoLTE/VoWifi compatible device soon (of course, if you're on an iPhone or Galaxy, you should be fine).
The good news for us is that the T-Mobile Digits app exists that forces calls and text messaging to go through LTE and Wi-fi. I'm currently using it on my LG V20 and I haven't had a dropped call since so that app should work with ANY phone that doesn't natively get VoLTE/VoWiFi from T-Mobile.
