Youtube to mp3 is a really nice option, I did use tubemate app on my android and it was super easy to download, convert and trim it into mp3. But that's only available on android but not on ios.

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2020I'd rather pay for VPN and download a lot of songs.VPN will not save you from virus bro, the most is hide your IP from the downloading sites.
VPN basically means you piggyback on that VPN network's traffic. So instead of using the route provided by your ISP, you go thru their networks. You still show up on the download sites, (Sure the remote site will not see your org IP, only the IP fronted by the VPN). But the traffic still goes thru the ISP, then to VPN.. then to the site you visit.
For me, VPN is only good for some games, sites.. whereby the ISP route is worse then the VPN provides.. so to minimize ping or geo restricted locations.
Plus you gonna trust that VPN with your life.. because if VPN give your details, your screwed... or VPN is hacked, your screwed. If that site requires you to login.. thats even more worthless, as the site will record its you, just that you come in from another IP.
Why add another layer of headache. Just be a good person, support your artist, support your fav band, allow them to create more awesome contents.

Spotify is like the a... moreAh yes, I remember the good ol' days when your phone can get infected by virus after you downloaded songs from some shady website. Heck I even manage to get one after receiving the mp3 from Bluetooth transfer.
These music streaming services just ease up everything. If you have more than 1000 songs, you don't have to go through the hassle of downloading all of them from different websites with annoying ads and viruses and later found out that the song you've just downloaded is very poor quality.

The app is perfect for people who like standard music like radio stations and TV channels. The real people who like sounds and music don't use apps like this.

This concept pioneered by Apple since the iPod days. Such as iTunes match, apple music or google play music.. It rips all your long time original CDs upgrade them to the latest quality, music you buy off iTunes and sync with all your iDevices. I do not care if i have a 32GB iPhone or 512GB iPhone. My fav artists, fav songs are available with a single download.. No sd slots no fuss, no malware visiting download sites.

Have been using Spotify for years now. Android app have been going downhill fast. Strange hanging, when playing one song, while showing other. Or starting play randomly while phone is locked. Or showing that it is not playing while playing. And despite these things, I love Spotify. Use premium.

I'm from Bangladesh where Spotify isn't available.
The best option to me is deezer(not a big collection of local songs), Gaana & Saavn (Indian Music Streaming Service ).
Ganna & Saavn offer a lot in their free plan. I doubt they pay the song owners accordingly.

You can check your local library for music service. My local library offer Freegal music for free. You can also download songs. Granted it has limited library but its a free good service.
