"Investing into quality", please, don't make me laugh, you can count the number of content worth watching with only your fingers. But everybody knows that, what I hate the most is their terrible customer service, the absolute worst.
Aakash7T, 30 Oct 2020Meanwhile in India, the highest Netflix Plan (4K HDR, 4 screens ) cost $11Yes. India is a much poorer country. The US and other developed countries help subsidize content that is also used for India.
Not trying to knock India. Just explaining the difference.
Anonymous, 30 Oct 2020So they decide to rise prices during COVID ... hmm I can see making them lose a lot of custome... moreMaybe they should get a book instead.
Anonymous, 30 Oct 2020So they decide to rise prices during COVID ... hmm I can see making them lose a lot of custome... moreThank your monopolistic ISP's for this , and the repealing of net neutrality laws ... what did you guys think was going to happen ? ISP lobbied back trying to protect their Cable TV empire by affectings Netflix's margins.
PetalPax, 30 Oct 2020This large number of online content suppliers will only increase pi ra c. Surely nobody ex... moreCompletely agree..
So they decide to rise prices during COVID ... hmm I can see making them lose a lot of customers or dropping to cheaper plans to still watch it..
I'd highly prefer physical OR digital where you own it (a.k.a. pay per item) over yarr matey, but now that even the latter is fading away in favour of this "access" nonsense, ...you get the idea.
Yeah 480p as the base... What year is it? Even a sub $100 phone comes with 720p display. I don't even know if you get a 480p display these days but yeah, 480p. Crapflix.
If they pull this nonsense in Europe I'm canceling it. We already get only a fraction of content for same price as US customers and what I hate the most is if you use it in browser, image quality is absolute garbage even with HD plan. The Windows app is slow and clunky, has no PiP option like Firefox does. I don't need Netflix that much to just go with whatever they ask for it.
This large number of online content suppliers will only increase pi ra c.
Surely nobody expects consumers to pay $18 for Netflix, $18 for Disney, $18 for HBO etc. ? These are pandemic times !!
Price raise!! the price is allready high and with that "geofence" not all content is possible to watch because your geographic location.
A serie may be several seasons ahead for people in US ........this is mean! Leading to feed the "downloading sites" with food every day.
It's time to get rid of that geofencing thinking and let all content be available for every netflix member
android tv + popcorn time....
Hi sisters! I need to know will this effect those who have netflix through their tmobile memberships?
Oh well, here we go again. The same reason why TV died will start applying here.
Boggy-Stefy, 30 Oct 2020And they wonder why people turn to piracy..
Their service is not that good. I am watching mov... moreEdge can now do 4k Netflix. If you need HDR you need the Netflix Windows app, but that's also possible. Also, Atmos is now doable on Windows. The only thing missing is Dolby Vision support, but that Microsoft needs to sort out before Netflix can enable it.
Compare that to Amazon Prime on PC which can only do 1080p no matter what you do.
And they wonder why people turn to piracy..
Their service is not that good. I am watching movies in 960x540 resolution, or 1280x720. Sometimes I get 1980x1080, but I need to change the browser (only in Edge it's 1080p).
Not to mention, their movies are not that great. It's quantity, not quality based nowadays. Many of them are old. And the new movies you hardly get to see them, unless they are made by Netflix directly.
Also, with the appearance of other competitors, if you want to see all your favorite movies, you need 2-3 subscriptions. Too much money. Is time for me to return to my Jack Sparrow origins. I hope I still have the account. Lol.
Quality content and Netflix doesn't go hand in hand
They are the firm believer of "quantity has its own quality"
