Nick Tagataka, 02 Nov 2020Again, what would be the point of having 108MP if you're binning 9 pixels into one anyway... moreBecause Samsung uses their already existing 0,8 micron pixel wafers and just cut them into fewer/larger pieces. It's more affordable and uses the same tech as in their 48 and 64 MP sensors. All with 0,8 micron pixels.
The similarly sized 48MP sensor in the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is superior by miles, but also cost more - I would assume.

OwnFix3, 02 Nov 2020How are the blacks in LCD these days?In most cases it can be considered as comparable to an OLED panel due to excellent color reproduction that can even be better than OLEDs sometimes, which takes away your attention to the blacks.
The best part about this is that it can be set to very high brightness for long periods of time without worrying about screen burns even for one bit.
Now I want to ask as well, how fast do blue sub-pixels die on OLEDs these days?

Usually I never take my time to comment but, what kept me from purchasing a Redmi Note 9 (series) is the placement of the front camera, right in the center..
As an European (right handed person) I find it more pleasing that the notorious punch hole is placed on the left corner so that my eyes naturally roll of from the point of view, from left to right.
Hopefully this time the global version will do it`s justice and have a proper meaningful front camera placement.
Well if not then going with a Realme 6 or 7.
I`m glad that now we have a true competition in the mid range market, because Xiaomi was in a monopole position for years in this segment of the market! :)

Xiaomi release so many phone because of 5g.
Most low end phone in global market dont need 5g,like redmi note9/9pro/9pro max/9s.
Most low end phone in Chinese market have 5g ,like redmi 10x series.
The actually phone released in global market this year are
mi10/10pro,mi10lite,poco f2pro,poco x3 nfc,redmi note9/9s/9pro,redmi 9/9a/9c,mi10t/mi10t pro,mi10t lite

Make something with a compact form factor 5,4-5,8" and some mediocore snapdragon chipset under 200 eur , and dont go over 150 g in weight . It will be an insta buy for many .
PS. 2 cams are enough nobody cares for macro and depht sensors.

I just wonder, when will Xiaomi stop releasing a thousand models per month? They literally can't keep up with the software updates and they have released so many buggy patches that it's really concerning.
For the sake of their customers, I really hope they stop doing this.
