Stock android yet slower performance. What the hell is google doing. If it's going to be like this I wouldn't mind using a bloated os that offers better performance rather than stock yet has inferior performance. The only thing this phone is good at is the camera and nothing else.

It doesn't justify the price they're charging for this phone.

could be many reasons but last years pixels battery life was worse than anything
could be downclocked for overheating
could be faulty chips so downclocked but still have 5g in away its 710 5g effectively

or it could be software but its running stock android

allergia, 03 Nov 2020Agree. YT is full of benchmarking the Pixel 5, non of them had the same result. Again, NON of... moreWtf what kind of benchmarks did you watch on YT, geekbench multi core scores for Pixel 5 are considerably lower than other SD 765G phones. There is a performance gap.
Stop spreading bullshit.

I don't want to sound like a crazy Google fan.
But, I should honestly say Pixel 5 is the best phone I have used in recent times. I returned back my S20 Ultra because of camera autofocus issues. Atleast such basic issues aren't expected from an exorbitant prices phone. Plus, Samsung's bloatware - definitely they should rethink.
Prior to this I used a Oppo phone. Hard to believe it's Wifi sensors struggles very badly to connect to wifi.. looks like Oppo AX7 had this problem across all its devices.. again, a basic failure. My cousin is a OnePlus fan, but the photos aren't really up to the mark !!
Just compare all these with Pixel. I have been using it for last 3 weeks, beautiful camera, solid battery performance, and a sleek and smooth OS, for nearly half the price of so called flagship phones. Should I really bother about the so called scores of Geekbench?

How many common users are going to burn their pixel to check the performance? I am a pixel 5 user and quite happy with full day of battery life and very good performance for daily activities.

You know why, because the #1 complaint with the 4s was battery life... Now it's got great battery life, people are complaining about speeds. Pick 1 cause you can't have both.

If google feels they can maintain acceptable performance and thus user experience via software optimisation, then what difference does this make.

This years Pixel 5 makes heaps more sense as a consumer product that did either of the 4 series last year.

Google headquarters...

Fran: Why are we downclocking the processor?

Bob: To preserve battery life.

Fran: But this time, we have a large 4,000 mah battery.

Bob: ... let's do it anyway.

Chris, 03 Nov 2020GSM arena's hate towards Pixels is actually even higher than we initially thought!Agree.
YT is full of benchmarking the Pixel 5, non of them had the same result. Again, NON of them.

It looks that Chinese shit companies pay more for them :-)
(May be Google should sent some candies for GSMarena to calm them down)
