Nick.B, 05 Nov 2020Hmmm only on mate40pro+ is the free form lenses ? hmmmYep, on Standard, Pro and even Porsche Design version u only get a 18mmf/1.8 wide angle lens, Huawei only uses software to offset the distortion. Only the Pro+ u get the 14mmf/2.4 bonus. And that really makes it difficult for me to decide whether to pursue the Porsche version.

Still, the end result of processing is still too "artistic" compared to detail from P40pro superwide, 20mp may be too much of resolution for enjoyment at 100% pixel lvl, should stay at 10mp or improve it to look less "wormy".
Its kind of inconsistent compared to other lens, it's a wonder.

I just bought a brand new P40 Pro today at a very good price and the build quality is simply stunning. I am never going back to Samsung. Hope They will continue to make phones. I have all the apps I need, banking, everything, so no GMS for me doesn't bother me at all.

I think u're mistaken...The only Mate 40 model with a free form lens (also 14mm wider view) is the Mate 40 Pro+! Have a check!

Philips invented fluid focus lens in 2000s, these are used in some medical equipment's, This has the ability to give phones true DSLR capabilities but no one thinks of it. huwawei sucks, these techs were discovered in 1920s used military cameras. Chinese can't invent NEW

when nobody said that means that is nothing there, just US trying to control everything, facebook sell all ur info buts okay, android ( google ) track u even with gps off but thats okay
