Oppo vooc doesn't heat up phone much even during charging and using the phone at the same time.
Independent testing proved battery degradation is 90% which is same as any other regular phone after 2 years use.

Do you have a major in battery tech? Cause, your points totally make sense man.
Anonymous, 06 Nov 2020Android has special batteries that last long than cheap iPhone batteries that start degradatio... more"Special batteries". You're literally pulling "facts" out of your rear now... All li-ion batteries have roughly 800 charge cycles before their capacity drops to around 80%. Claiming "Apple" uses "regular" batteries and "Android makers" somehow use some "magical special batteries" is just straight up pure distilled BS. Just stop talking.
AnonD-804996, 06 Nov 2020Yeah, sure. And Android phones use batteries that actually gain charge cycles with time. 2 yea... moreAndroid has special batteries that last long than cheap iPhone batteries that start degradation around 400 charge cycles.
Also they are bigger in capacity, so by the time Android reaches 800 charge cycles aka 90% degradation, Apple is at 1600 charge cycles reducing to 60%
Add battery gate and other shameful practices, you arrive to 50%.
Android Authority, 06 Nov 2020Expert engineer??? LMAO.
So expert engineer can't even understand VOOC charging after re... moreHow VOOC charging works: It breaks the laws of physics, meaning that it can charge faster without any more battery degration.
What would you rather believe: blatant marketing from a company trying to sell it's devices or actual trusted reviewers(MrWhoseTheBoss) and engineers?
By the time apple improves charging speed, we all know it's because battery technology has improved over the years.

And Android phones use batteries that actually gain charge cycles with time. 2 year old Android phones literally have 1600 charge cycles after 2 years. Do you even read how stupid things you're saying? Literally any Android phone would have same battery degradation as my iPhone if same up to 80% charge method was used.

So expert engineer can't even understand VOOC charging after reading it?
I think we now know, who the real troll is.
Next level Engineers worked to bring us Modern day ultra fast charging technology.
The same technology that will arrive on iPhones 20 years later with a rebranded name and you'll call it innovation!
Android Authority, 05 Nov 2020Lmao we are supposed to rely on articles from Quora??
wow, no wonder you are such a troll.
This is an expert engineer answering the issue, yet you dismiss it.
Just to show how ignorant you guys are.
AnonD-804996, 04 Nov 2020My XR still has battery at 100% health after 2 years...Lol Good joke 👏.
What about battery capacity?
Pretty sure it's down to 80% as Apple uses regular batteries which degrade to around 90% after 400-500 charge cycles unlike special Android batteries which degrade to 90% only after 800 charge cycles.

Your fanbbboy feathers are clearly visible. Do a better job of hiding it next time.
[deleted post]My phone has seen 100% charge maybe 3 times in its entire life. It's almost strictly charged to 80%. Yes, that DRAMATICALLY extends battery life that would otherwise be lost . I know physics behind batteries and I know it's not exactly 100% anymore. But degradation is so low it's literally insignificant. And the battery life between charges proves that. But of course, you the fAndroid expert who somehow knows more about MY iPhone while not using one at all. Who's the f**king joker now? You talking BS out of your literal arse or me actually talking about actual experience with the device.
Why did they make the 12 mini so 'bad'? I know a lot of people who were looking forward to it, including me (I was even thinking about giving up the jack to get a normal sized phone). But now they decided the mini-version doesn't deserve fast charging, besides the already small battery. The XR and the 11-series have a normal battery life, the rest is just meh to really bad. Everywhere around me I see people looking for chargers because their iPhone is almost dead, while my phone with more SOT is still at 40% for example 😅. The OS is so good, but they ruined it with the high prices (for €800 you arent even avle to charge your phone or listen to music on your phone) and poor battery life

AnonD-804996, 05 Nov 2020Dude, this is literally part of the OS. How dense are you? The distance you Apple haters go to... moreHow dense are you????
Battery degradation and battery health aren't the same thing.
Battery degradation is linked to capacity left.
So a Xiaomi phone retaining 90% of a 4000mah battery after 800 charge cycles means, the usable battery capacity drops to 3600mah after 800 charge cycles.
No phone can maintain 100% capacity after using a phone for 2 years.
Battery degradation cannot be measured using an inbuilt app or third party app.
degradation can only be measured in a lab with special tools.
This is why I said those are fake apps. The results are not reliable irrespective of whether it is on iOS or Android.
Do you really think that after 2 years battery degradation is at 0% meaning battery capacity stays at 100% after so many charge cycles? Forget the OS, battery degrades with time and more charge cycles. No phone can maintain 100% after 2 years even if you use the phone sparingly.
The distance that Apple lovers will go to defend their mediocre product is astonishing.
People like you continue to believe that iPhone has best camera, best battery, best smoothness even though real world results point to something else.

Change your name from iOS never aga... moreI know people owning iPhone since 6 years back, it is still at 100%.
I know Android folks using phone since 5 years, the inbuilt app still shows good battery health even though SOT has dropped to half of its original in both these cases.

I got home with 50% last night, Checking the election and from dealing with being on the phone for a while dealing with a faulty fire alarm issue at work. Today, I will get home with about 50%. I use to have the 11 Pro smart battery case and used it 24/7. I would never get to use the iPhones battery. I only used the phones battery when I traveled to Paris and stayed up for 48 hours. I am wondering if the battery case killed my iPhones Battery Health. I bought apple care so I will break my phone twice a year each time the battery degrades.
iOS Never Again, 04 Nov 2020Lol those are faked apps showing health at 100%Umm... iOS shows you the battery health in the settings.
Change your name from iOS never again to iOS never before. Cos you clearly never owned an iPhone or at least one in 6 years or something.
