I don't understand who's pushing so much for mobile phone development....
Our cameras are 5 years behind, our music players are 12 years behind, our laptops are also getting nothing new too, and our watches are now 30 years behind.
But everyone wants to push this already oversmart phone to its limits. Why??
This stuff, would've been way more useful with an engineer or architect or 3D Designer, but look what we have here...
It seems companies (or maybe governments) are hell bent on tracking us.
is this tech similar to that of LiDAR sensor?

Just like pixel and iphones able to shot the best picture on camera with just 1/2.55" sensor. But still, this sensor is the biggest 3D ToF sensor that will be fitted on the phone, usually it's 1/6" and for automotive it's 1/2" so it's very interesting.
Can't wait for this to be the new normal of all smartphones though it'll take some years
No matter how good your depth detection or edge detection is. It doesn't matter if your blurring software isn't good enough at blurring the hardest edges. So the problem lies in the blurring algorithms, not the edge detection problems.
