what apple is doing here is SIMPLE trying to eliminate the sim card so they can control you more and more and charge you more and more no sim u are stuck whit one provider and then they can play whatever they like i don't believe for one sec that a 0.001 millimeter on a sim card will make that big difference in the iPhone so spare us the bs

zamroni, 07 Aug 2012Apple should use micro USB instead of blaming SIM card size. What's next, pico SIM?What's the problem in that?? You can't stop the progress. You never know what would come in future. Had anybody though about sudden collapse of Nokia when it was in it's prime at the launch of iPhone with revolutionary design?

Wonder if you ignorant guys even read anything at all. Apple won the nano-sim design recently, after taking into account some concerns from Nokia. Apple beat competing designs from Nokia and RIM, and this will now be the new agreed standard in Europe, which has already began stockpiling nano-sims in massive quantities.

Read more, it's good for you lol.

Why do we have to invent something, that eventually, we could loose it? Sooner or later we would misplaced this little tiny drawer or damage the enclosure except you never changing sim cards. How much space could you save by using this..?

no big deal, this micro sim design is for apple only and i dont that other companies will follow the design coz apple will sue them. soon, a standard micro sim design will exist..

Some are still having a hard time here in the Philippines finding a microSIM, then they'll switch to a nanoSIM, way to go Apple. And, me owning an iPhone, comparing it to the S3, my iPhone works way better, and has better apps as well. And iPhones are better to own longer if you're really careful because, once it dropped, you'll say goodbye...

Also, there are still a huge number of iPhone 3GS out there from 2009, still perfectly usable on the latest OS. iPhones are a lot more obsolete resistant which make it much better value to some over a longer period.

Dizzy, 06 Aug 2012Forgive me if I am wrong here but all Iphones are already superseded before they even make it ... morePersonally, i think its how simple it is. you can do everything and more on an android but some people just want a plan smartphone. What i don't understand is the price, it cost a lot more than another phone but is mid-level at best. To me it seems like how Blackberries were a few years ago. Exclusive, trendy and expensive

lol of where i live only teenagers have Blackberries now.
