If I was going to pay for an app, I'd rather pay for it completely in a one off payment, rather than a rolling monthly payment.
Of that's not possible then I'd rather buy a 3rd party app instead.
AngryLithuanian, 07 Nov 2020For all the complainers in the comments: Make your own services like these and put them for... moreNone of the Google services are free. You exchange your private data in order to use those services. Google doesn't disclose in detail how they handle the data they gather from you.
Gandu, 08 Nov 2020The first thing I do on my phone is disable the Google photos app. Lmao.Same here, always did. I prefer the local gallery on the phone i have.
A half year ago i was curious how Google photo app was working nowadays... Holy cow cake, lots of stuff i really don't care at all....

It didn't become the most fined company automatically..
People can't sue them coz they accept the terms and conditions that nobody bothers to read when installing the app.

If you have evidence to prove then that they are doing illegal stuff feel free to sue them. So long it is not illegal and within the law, they can do it as part of the business. You can run after iOS or any other platform that suits you
You can't expect google to implement privacy and offer services free!! Google Photos App is far superior worth paying as part of Google Dtive subscription if they offer premium & pro editing features in addition to the color pop ups

I don’t get the big fuss. The feature is said to still be free for photos with depth info. Considering even cheap Android phones have those 2/5MP depth cameras, this means most people won’t notice anything different.
Besides, this same feature has been available built in on some OEMs default camera apps.

Google is the best when it comes to image processing software solution. But i think this service should be offered to anyone who has already bought some sort of google cloud storage option.

Google and Apple and Amazon have too much power. They force all smaller business away and they horde more and more wealth. Inquality has never been more broken than now.
From an ethical standpoint its disgusting how these 3 companies own so much money - imagine what all that money could do for our world. It could end poverty, build infrastructure in the poor half of the world, give all the poor kids in developing countries a good life etc.
You can say whatever you want - you know in your heart that what I'm saying is true and right.

Chinese, North Korean and Russian dictators have "too much power" because they are not subject to the rule of law. Google is subject to state regulation, including antitrust enforcement, and it's not even allowed in China or North Korea.

Luckely a lot of big companies have had enough and are now joining together to break these huge monopoly tech giants into pieces. They have too much power. They need to be reduced to ash.
