I won't switch untill all Google apps are available on that is as well. As the android with Google services lets me to change phone brand every time I'm buying new phone and I can keep all my apps and data with them. I don't ever want to be bound to one phone brand for without multi brand support. The same reason why I don't use Apple even I know that they have brilliant hardware and is works well on their devices...
I hope that in the future, there will be an opened app marked which could work within all major operating systems. But that would need willingness from them all as for devs, it might be hard to make it compatible with every os.
What about P30 lite emui 10.1 update 🤔 so you that people are still going to buy huawei phone's after this disappointing news and then you talk about EMUI 11 🤬🤬🤬🤬
Mav, 09 Nov 2020Hopefully Samsung will follow suit so that Google will not monopolize the whole Android market.Samsung has its own and has no market share in China, so why bother with inferior one from Huawei?
Anonymous, 09 Nov 2020I actually wish them to succeed since it'd break the duopoly of Android & ios. And re... moreThe big difference is that huawei already has over 40% market share in China whereas the other failed OS essentially started from scratch.
Hopefully Samsung will follow suit so that Google will not monopolize the whole Android market.
Kevin, 09 Nov 2020Basically its new os but same ui, which is emuiIts is obvious that it will be like EMUI , isn't EMUI eye pleasing?
Kevin, 09 Nov 2020Basically its new os but same ui, which is emuiYes but with smoother / lighter on hardware resource. Hope it will be as smoot as iOS which has fluid animation.
I just bought the P40 Pro and I can't wait to try this. I love the phone very very much and I will never go back to Sammy after this.
Anonymous, 09 Nov 2020If they lift the ban, they declared to the whole world that they lost the trade war between China.Do you think Biden cares if he shits on Trumps legacy?
copy, 09 Nov 2020the andriod copy same code base o.s only redesign the u.i Basically its new os but same ui, which is emui
I LOVE IT. Consumer must have more choices on phone's OS.
Consumer wins here.
Anonymous, 09 Nov 2020If they lift the ban, they declared to the whole world that they lost the trade war between China.Naah they will kot be a trade war atleast for next 4 years.
America's Teade Defecit to China still stands at the se $31 Billion even after the MAGA lunatics Trade war with China, US Trade defecits still stands.
So what's the reason even to engage in trade war, not only you are losing the War but looisng ground.
You are making China self sufficient by forcing them to build their entire semi conductor industry from ground up which was not at all present before 2016.
Now that PRESIDENT BIDEN will start his job on Job 21.
Huwaei sighs a breath of releif.
Brazil has resisted MAGA Lunatics pressure to ban Huawei and they have said they will not ban Huawei.

AnonD-920712, 09 Nov 2020i wonder if Biden lift the ban, will huawei still fight for its Hongmeng...If they lift the ban, they declared to the whole world that they lost the trade war between China.
Hope common sense prevails as the MAGAT Tyrant is soon to be dragged and kicked out of the White House on Jan 21.
Breathing releif for China for 4 years and they will set to do everything in the next 4 years that will set them up to next 100 years.
Anonymous, 09 Nov 2020People seem to be forgetting Bada OS, which Samsung (of all companies) pushed and gave up on. ... moreBadaOS was actually very cool. I had the first Samsung Wave with it and it's an amazing phone even today. 1GHz CPU, SuperAMOLED display, 5Mpix autofocus camera with flash, aluminium unibody. Yes, it's tiny for today's standards, but she doesn't need anything fancy except phone that's fast and does nice enough photos while lasting for several days and being pocketable. And it's all that. Reason why BadaOS died was solely because of Samsungs total disinterest for maintaining and evolving it. In the beginning it was great and with time you could see they were losing interest until one day they just killed it. Such a shame. Which, if Huawei doesn't do the same, HarmonyOS may actually evolve and be competitive. And if apps are interchangeable with Android, you can bet all major providers will go with it. Hell, their current App Gallery has bunch of local apps from my country. Services that are not big at all on global scale and they are there. Surely bog ones would and will join.
Iam fully support with the hard working Huawei efford in creating its own OS. With this we hope the west should not trying to be big bully again when they realise that their product can't compete and left behind. Despite changes in their policy if any after this it's not a guarantee that the same thing might happen again to other country.
Anyway I hope Huawei will keep on success and develop more in future.
How I read this... Dr Wang , revealed all in harmony
HarmonyOs could be game changer to have the ability to switch i/o at will, having all your devices connected, is the next logical step for smartphones, once this is released, for sure it will be copied by other os
