geek-a-contra, 15 Nov 2020currently using a 6.1", xperia 5II, the smallest i could found to have /match the specs /... more I asked a employee at my old carrier store, why Apple discontinued headphone jacks, and he said it was because it was because they often broke. Apparently, the problem was so bad, that they gave up on the jacks completely.

This poll shows me, that I am not alone in wanting 5.8 inch handset, the 2nd most popular type of model depicted in this poll. I thought that 5.8 inch or lower displays would be the least popular. Well this helps explain why Apple released 2 small body models this year, what with the se and iPhone 12 mini. Personally I use an s10e. Note to Samsung - how about creating and releasing a s10e successor?

L.O.R.D, 16 Nov 2020iPhone SE is better at $400 iphone se is not as good as iphone 12 mini. And trust me, doing stuff on 4.7" screen is a pain, as i have an android of that size. 5.4" is minimum. And iphone se feels like using a 2016 phone.

Definitely will continue going down the 6.7 inch and above route. The note series screen size is percent for me at 6.8 inch (note 10+) or 6.9 inch (note 20 U) but I would wish that they were made of plastic cause its lighter and with a screen this big, I dont really want the extra weight from the glass when plastic serves as good of a purpose except that it's less scratch proof.

Anonymous, 15 Nov 2020Completely bogus poll. Footprint of the phone is not taken into consideration. OnePlus 8T... moreOh of course, the s20 has that curved screen.

Not counting the curved distortion, the screen size is more like 6 inches.

7" inch at least, no foldable. Big screen is the best and enough size for big hands.

I must say Pixel 5 is really a nice device to hold - I do not mind big as my work phone, but my personal phone should be small and light.

You can't equate phone size with battery size. Many of the earlier Xiaomi Redmi phones of a few years ago had small 5 to 5.5 inch displays but 4000 mAh batteries.

I agree totally with the middle sized phones, something a bit below 6.5. Larger phones are by far my last choice.

Powerful phone with screen size 5.8" perfect for me. This because easy to handle by using one hand and easy to carry it in my pocket.

DantE O2, 16 Nov 2020other than a poll ! it's more a matter of small hands or big hands most of the time. and... morejust because you can't imagine it doesn't mean it doesn't make sense. A smartphone measuring less than 140mm can be operated with one hand, and it is now possible to place a 5.7 screen on it. This is WIDE enough for many of us. Our hands have not grown in the last three years. Anyway my S10e will be upgraded to Android 12 so even if it's slightly too big, it will do the job.

All current models have very large screens over 6.0, but there are no models in sizes 5.8 ~ 6.0. Large screens are not very successful in terms of damage, except for the difficulty of carrying them.

Perfect screen size for me will be 6.2" to 6.5". Even tho phones have now moved to 19.5 :9(+) aspect ratios, my ideal is still 16:9 aspect ratio and given how aspect ratios has moved up the scale, I will greatly appreciate 18:9 AR at this point.
I still prefer phones to have a little bit of width instead of the narrow and elongated devices we are forced to buy these days.

It's kind of hard to say...
besides size of display does not always corelate with size of phone...
When I search for small phone I tend to use overall dimensions.
For next phone something under 145 mm would be fine

7" all the way! Many, many years I have had Samsung Note Series, but for 2 years now I've been using Huawei Mate 20 Pro as my daily driver. I personally do enjoy big phones, phablets! The bigger, the better! Only slimmer ;))

other than a poll ! it's more a matter of small hands or big hands most of the time.
and there's one more thing.

for example a REALLY small phone like iphone 7 with 4.7" screen and big bezels has ALMOST the same size of a 6" google pixel 5 with no bezel display! the difference is like 0.5 cm yep.

so basically the " inch " might not deliver a good imagination of what we talk about
i can't imagine who wants a phone smaller than 5.8" no bezel that we see as first option in the poll it basicaly makes zero sense what does less than 5.8" mean nowadays with no bezels?
