Old phone size of 5.2 or 5.4 will be better with bezelless design.
It will be compact for one handed use. Suitable for Non-IT business users who don't watch hour long videos and don't type any document.

Screen seiz means nothing.....
The screen ratio is everything.
6.6" with 18.5:9 is big but 6.6" with 20:9 is trash....

For me a perfectly sized phone would be 150 x 70 mm. Right now I have a 6.5" phone and it's too big for comfortable use, but I'm gonna keep it, because it's just a minor inconvenience.

6.1 inches 21:9 aspect ratio is the king. I have iPhone 11pro and Xperia 5ii. The Xperia is such a delight to use.

5.8/5.9 to 6.5 hit the right spots
Comfortable to use, good for watching shows/movies, good to text, etc.
Especially with the current bezelless trend, phones are full screens instead of before, so the phone isn’t exactly that big
Anything below or above that will be an overstretch as you’ll either have a tablet as a phone or you’ll suffer from small screens that aren’t easy to type on/view stuff/small batteries
And no, as many like to say we’d rather have a thick phone, a lot of people don’t prefer thick/heavy phones just for a bigger battery
