Regedit, 17 Nov 2020Test results in this website has a different outcome. https://www.gsmarena.com/5g_primer_wh... moreI'm just going by the general consensus from user reviews in China. They're are a few different videos about this showing the opposite on Chinese sites like iqiyi and tencent video. To be honest though you'd need to use both side by side over the long term to get a true picture. An isolated test is not reliable

Regedit, 17 Nov 2020Kirin never outperformed Exynos. Period speeds??, what a BS...here are the facts for your enl... moreexynos support refresh rate 144hz? can you tell me which phone with exynos chipset supports 144hz refresh rate? i only know s20 or note 20 series supports only 120hz with 1080p
also exynos may support bigger camera module 108mp but does it matter? its not even best camera this year. precisely kirin who only support camera module 50mp win award for best camera smartphone.
and you say kirin sucks when playing high graphic game? at least kirin can optimize performance and stabilize it. exynos? not only heat throttling but also battery-eating too. exynos maybe a little powerful in antutu than kirin but in term of optimization and efficiency, kirin is better one

speeds??, what a BS...here are the facts for your enlightment.

Qualcomm 7.5Gbps downlink speeds and 3Gbps uplink speeds,
Samsung’s Exynos 990 hits 7.35Gbps downlink speeds
Huawei's Kirin 990 is capable of hitting 2.3Gbps downlink speed and 1.3Gbps up, far lower than rival flagship SoCs

More differences to follow
- Huawei tops out at LPDDR4X, Exynos supports LPDDR5X
- Camera module supported - 64 Mp Maximum by Kirin, Exynos can handle higher sensors, 108 MP
- Exynos has Mali-G77 MP11 way better than Kirin's G76.
- Exynos supports 144hz refresh rate vs Kirin can at max do 90 hz

Kirin uses lower GPU clock so that they can claim their phones do not have heat throttling issues, but the fact is they suck when playing graphic heavy games and yes they degrade in performance

They still depend on other manufacturers for few components for the so called Kirin chipset. now they have to build those components on their own, as those companies are not doing any trade with Huawei.

You missed Samsung exynos in your list, which is bigger & older player in this game. They are self sufficient and have been investing in R&D of chipsets from quite some time.

home market (china) has saved Huawei with the patriotic feeling, im sure that will slowly fade off in coming years.
