On a small smartphone sensor the difference in noise level could show up at ISO that is just as low as 200-400. Try shooting in RAW on the main cameras of Galaxy S20 Ultra/Note 20 Ultra and Mi 10/Mi Note 10 at exactly the same ISO value and similar shutter speed (so that the exposure will be the same) and tell me which one produces noisier image.

If you go that route you gain extra resolution at an expense of light sensitivity and a one-shot HDR. Whether it's better or not totally depends on your use cases.
Display is promising. Hopefully xiaomi will price this competitively.

My comment is about the fact that it's ridiculous in 2020 to release a 'flagship' phone with USB 2.0 port (no video out).
I would be curious to know how much they save doing so...surely it can't be much?
It's a shame as Xiaomi make pretty solid phones otherwise.

Always using bad pieces. Like the ufs3.1 that shows slower speeds than ufs3.0 used by one plus, sony and samsung.

Sensor must have almost 13mm diagonal.
Impossible to be use on phone with lenses beyond 32mm.

Exactly what we see when compare FF sensors (same applies if you compare 1", apsc or 4/3).
A7iii has pixel pitch almost 50% larger than A7r4, you do not see different at lower ISO levels. Difference of 2.18 micron ...
Not even A7s3 (8,42 micron) can at night outperform a Medium Format 102MP (3.76 micron).
Let alone 0,4 - 0.6 micron difference... Not counting fact a 50MP quadbayer will have smaller light absorbing surface area than a Bayer 12.5MP of same size. Gap between the 4 pixels.
What ruins photos at night is the fact ppl let auto mode and phone raises ISO and increase shutter. Phones should not be used above iso 400 for decent photo.
Sony, Samsung and Omnivision are pushing this tech because it is cheaper to make small pixel sensors. They are making much more money.
Much better to order a 18-20 MP Bayer 1/1.2" ....
