Well using a tv for movies basic internet apps and gaming is much cheaper in general. I Have a monitor thats 11 years old but it badly needs a refresh. But in my case I don't want a TV for 2 reasons.
1. Don't enjoy most TV shows
2. In the UK you have to pay for a TV license of at least £157 a year by law (depending on a few varables).
Most people I know already have a TV why bother spending more?
Your first mistake is playing on a tv period. Get the best gaming monitor u can afford. Only then. Will u experience all that gaming has to offer. I prefer asus. But mine was very expensive. There are cheaper great monitors. Idc what tv u get. It will never compare to a monitor

Yes Sony uses LG panel because LG was mass producing the panel at the time. No because Sony knows how to customize and make th oled better than LG, so Sony is better.

I haven't had any burning issues. From what I am reading if you use your TV normally, (like don't keep it on one screen with the ticker for 24 hours 7 days a week), burning in shouldn't be a problem
AnonD-731363, 19 Nov 2020Well maybe and maybe not depends on how far your wifi router is from TV. It's located literally next to the TV, on the very same table/TV-stand. The RJ45 cable(s) that I use are the shortest possible that I could buy and use with the TV, Cat 6 and 50 cm long. And now that I have a different router, it still has the same issues. And oh yeah, router/modem setting were also checked, it did not limit the bandwidth for the TV. WiFi also has the same issues, so two routers and different connections plus cables, the TV just still has the same issues. But yeah, next upgrade: an OLED with 120 Hz/FreeSync/G-Sync support so it will be usable with my PC.

I hav... moreWell, a connection with the speed of 1000/50 (Speedtest result about 850/48 usually) is enough for the Netflix app. Didn't even work well with the much slower 4G hotspot I used from my phone, which ran at about 95/30. So I gave up, now I only cast stuff to the TV if I absolutely need to turn it on in the first place. That way the TV actually works, but the UI is still sluggish. LG's OLED actually is something I'm more than likely to buy next, or wait a bit longer until more HDMI 2.1 and VRR-supported TV's, or rather big monitors are available. :)
Yeah if you want burn ins and lines across a Flawed OLED brand

Your problem could be with internet speeds.
I have a 15GB/s and everything is smooth as it can be.
I can even play online games and download 10 movies at once and running netflix on my TV too,
gaming UI and OLED burn-in sounds like a recipe for disaster. but hey if people are willing to put up with it, who am I to stop them lol
Look LG is different from all those companies you listed, first they all get their OLED panels from LG, second most have some missing HDMI 2.1 features as far as I know CX and C9 and all the other variants are the only T.V.s to support all of these in every HDMI port...eARC in arc port, Dolby Vision as well as native Dolby Atmos, HGiG dynamic tone mapping, VRR/ALLM with as low as 1 millisecond response time, G-Sync and Freesync for PC gaming and the ability to have these gaming features running with impeccable image quality at 4KHDR120fps 4:4:4 chroma.

My father has the lg oled and the panel has burn in from station logos and the middle of the panel burnt out faster than the rest. Red appears crimson and yellow appears green. Luckily lg is replacing the panel. I will never buy an oled as a gamer due to the static images like huds and maps.
