dyslexic alien, 22 Nov 2020Get a notebook or convertible laptop 😌Worse decision ever. I had 3 of those. 2 cheap ones, from Lenovo and Asus. Then I bought a more expensive ultrabook from Asus (some zenbook model).
All 3 were underpowered and lagish in usage.
The cheap ones felt like a Samsung Galaxy Tab A model in usage. The only advantage of those was they had Windows 10 Home built in.

Uncle D, 22 Nov 2020But still there's a huge difference on the good old 16:9 ratio from the past vs the 19:9 ... moreThat is why I still prefer the so-called 'outdated' 16:9 aspect ratio. All TV series and YouTube videos are still being recorded in that 'outdated' aspect ratio. The only time you will see a wider aspect ratio like 21:9 is for cinema movies, and that's it.

I'd be more than happy to have a phone with a 6.0" 16:9 screen and a tiny bezel or a full view screen all day long.

I am getting used to 6.8 inches with OP8 Pro being the best display and we can hold the device comfortably. Anything less than 6.5 inches seems undesirable for me. That too I prefer QHD+ AMOLED screens. I have tried iPhone 11 and the screen size was bit smaller and the low res. LCD display and the notch did not help the cause and I had to get 11PM. Now my OP8P & N20U keeping my eyes pleasing.

My P40 Pro is 6.58" and my Note 20 Ultra is at 6.9"but i still feel both screens are too small when i watch videos. I have a 7" tablet that I use for reading ebooks and that screen feels so much bigger than the Note 20ultra at .1" difference diagonally.

Maybe, if the poll was of the same concept as in 2019, the result would be about the same. Most people interested in sizes of 5,8"-6,0". This change made the result absolutely inconclusive. Probably the ideal size has not changed in people's mind, just in this mistake.

Well, I have secondary/middle school, and I could put my phone in my blazer pocket, which has plenty of space left. I don't usually use my phone one-handed, and I'm fine with 5.8 to 6.5 inches. My current, and bad, phone is 5.8 inches, so I CAN go bigger.

Phones are getting bigger to a point where it is too hard to use them while holding in one hand. Also, at the same time, jeans pants pockets are getting smaller!! Phones today feel like the phablets from a few years ago.

Something the size of Pixel 4a 5g or a Samsung S10 is large enough. Any bigger and its harder to use.

Barret, 22 Nov 2020Each person uses a phone in their own way. For media consumption and gaming large screens are ... moreYep, but you and others with similar preferences only make up small niche market, so little incentive for makers except for one or two who can carry the loss, like flopple or Sammy.
Most folk don't like carrying/using 2 devices, I also do lots of e reading,i would love a high spec phablet with a display etc that you can switch over to use as e display state using little ram, and one tiny cpu core etc and get something much closer to ereader endurance capability, so say 4-5 days worth, compared to 2 days with current phone devices.
I'd like to hack my current old flagship Samsung device to be able to add an ereader app to its ultra power saver mode...
